Here Today... Gone To Hell!

On the computer, the audio device somehow got accidentally deleted and now no sound comes out of the computer................................



Anyone know where I can go to download something to repair?


Cant find the startup discs..........

figure out the make and model of your audio card then download the software for it, also.. to figure out if you have an audio card installed, go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Sound, Video, and Game Controllers

or try this.

start.>rightclick my computer>properties>hardware>device manager. Look for a yellow exclamation mark, and if none find your audio device in the list. Rightclick it>properties>update driver. you can also delete it, and reinstall it with the NEW HARDWARE wizard in the control panel. Good luck!

Check the manufacturers website. Thats the first place i'd look for the sound drivers and software.

i have the same problem i think and i can't figure it out for the life of me. I tried that thing that Timothy said in his post but i don't have those fields that he mentsioned.   :(

system?.......uhh...... well i have a windows 98 (i know, get off it) i have windows media player 9 and about 3 or 4 months ago i had highspeed instaled and in addition to that they needed to install a USB port since my computer didn't have one and every since then i haven't been able to listen to anything on media player but for some reason i can go to youtube and listen to things there perfectly and i have no clue why.

Well this thread sure got silly in a hurry  :rofl:. If you guys have a brand name computer like dell. You should check the computer manufacturers website for the sound drivers. If you have a sound card like a creative or something you'll have to go to the manufacturers of the sound cards website. Make sure you know the model of the card though if thats what you got. Good luck i'm sure no sound is quite annoying.

your computer sucks,  it freaked out getting a usb port put in... i say buy a new computer.... this is only the first of many more problems... by the way i sell computers
