Many bands, like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, have done this in the past, for their 3rd or 4th single, after the album has been fully promoted. I guess I'm just not big on fan made videos, especially in a time where they don't get much television airplay anyway. Post by: elmir on January 30, 2008, 11:31:49 AM this video contest is absolute rubbish....first, its only open to US citizens....not anyone else...secondly, the rules document is so constricting, that at the end of the day you cannot do pretty much anything with anything....they leave you abolutely no room at all to maneouvre....and my best bit is this:
Quote the winner has to arrange his/her own transport to and from the airport i am assuming this refers to both airports....the departing one, as well as Amsterdam....so if you have never been to Amsterdam....you now have to spend your own money (after having gone to an expense of making a music video)...to get yourself to wherever they booked you for the night.... the least they could do is pay for your taxi ride....jesus... this prize is anything but motivating....
