Title: The Storm/Richard Fortus Post by: DemocracyRose on January 14, 2008, 03:06:59 PM Hi!
Here is a little cool story... The Storm are a new danish band with leadsinger Pernille Rosendahl(former Swan Lee) and guitarist Johan Wohlert(former Mew). Richard Fortus have been friends with Pernille since 1995 where they played together with Love Spit Love. I noticed their friendship when i was emailing with Richard a couple a years ago and I was curious about a link(Swan Lee) he had on his homepage and i was very surprised that he knew Pernille. Now I read in a danish music magazine Gaffa, who has a article about The Storm and Pernille is talking about that Richard played on half of their new record called Where the storm meets the ground. When Pernille and Johan visits Richard and his family back in 2007, Richard borrowed all his instrumentsf to Pernille and Johan. So all the guitars on the record is Richards. Pernille is also talking about Richard as a musical brother. The Record will problaby sell pretty big in Denmark and it will be released 11. Feb. Roy Thomas Baker is the producer and its mixed in The Village studios in LA. So its not some cheap record Richard is playing on here. You can listen to the 1. single on The Storms myspace site. I guess Richard playing on that too. Well it was just something I would share with you and I think its very cool that Richard playing on record by a danish band... Pernille told gaffa(a danish music magazine) that she changed her little baby diaper on Axls couch at Roskilde Festival, when she was visiting Richard backstage... :-X :hihi: Title: Re: The Storm/Richard Fortus Post by: Voodoochild on February 12, 2008, 03:51:40 PM It's a cool solo, but I thought it was too low in the mix...
