That album is an inspiration and should be the blueprint as to how bands should sound and the vibe that should be captured. Same thing happened to me though as far as liking it early. I loved side 2 (or the R side for you other cassette owners) and didn't care much for side 1 (or the G side) except for Jungle until years later. Everything from the sound, lyrics and attitude of that album was just perfect. I don't think there has been a rock album since that comes even close in comparison. I know albums like Appetite don't happen often, but I'm hoping the time is coming soon for another young band to burst on the scene and just give music a huge kick in the ass like GN'R did back in 87! Rock music could really, really use that...
