I loved Jack as the Joker, but his take on it was that he was simply Jack Nicholson dressed up as the joker . It was the same character that he played in the shining well as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and the same character that he continued to play in The Departed. this new joker looks/sounds awesome and is a refreshing change.
