Axl would sound great on the opening to Immigrant Song.. I might go w/ Black Dog.

Immigrant Song. Everytime I listen to Rhiad I think about this song.

Kashmir could be another good option. Robin played it with his wife and other people in some kind of music/circus thing.

Throw in some Slash and Jimmy Page and it would be a rock n' roll orgy. Always thought with a little more longevity they could have been my generations version of Plant/Page as the similarities in style and charisma were striking.

Even though not a Zeppelin original always would have liked to see GNR take a stab at When the Levee Breaks in the vain of how Zeppelin did it with Gnr's own style of course. The bluesy feel, big pounding drums, and high production value would have fit Gnr's style well at the time.

Tangerine or Out On The Tiles  : ok: Tangerine is one of my favourite songs ever... and I think it would sound amazing with Axl singing it.

I think "Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true" would touch the hearts of many a gnr fan, and Slash would rock the solo as well.  Otherwise, something bluesy, I think Since I've Been Loving You would be cool.

The other way round, I think Led Zeppelin could do an awesome take on Nightrain.

I fucking love that song. Axl would sound amazing on it. One of my favorite Zep songs. I saw Kashmir a few times so far, I wouldn't wanna hear that. It's a little too obvious and dull a choice. And Immigrant song I always thought was one of zeps most over rated songs, probably my least favorite off of three. I think people are picking that one just cause of Axl and the vocals between verses lol

It's very hard to tell which song he'll sing better! I Love all of led zep tunes.
Led Zep & GNR are my all time favourite bands! They have played a big role in my music "scholarship". It's very hard to tell which one I love more. It's like pointing out which children you love more.
I think that Axl's voice will suits better with these Zep tunes :

I don't care about covers anymore. Do you really like it when other bands cover GN'R? I don't, they never sound as good as the original.

And aren't there already enough covers in the setlist? "Live and let die", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", the solos ("Angie", "Beautiful"), ... Wouldn't you rather hear some new songs the band's been working on for more than 10-15 years?

And what's with the Led Zep these days? Sure, I listen to Zep from time to time and enjoy their music but 'till a few weeks ago we never / rarely discussed Zep here 'though they've been around for decades! It's because of their reunion right?

Nah, I disagree. The search results to 20 pages but these are just topics where Zep gets mentioned. You have to use the "Topic subjects only" parameter to have a better view.

If you don't use any parameters it would seem like we always talk about the Stones (52 pages), Aerosmith (37) or Metallica (55) but they just get mentioned from time to time.
