Guns n Roses make it in at 75, surprised to see them ahead of Led Zeppelin.. Title: Re: Top uk 100 list... Post by: SamBob on December 05, 2007, 05:58:35 PM Well, there are lots of good bands on there.
I dunno... I kind of like guns n' roses a tad bit better than zeppelin... or rather, it depends on my mood. XDD This is cool though. Title: Re: Top uk 100 list... That list is based on how many months the band has spend in the UK charts, and Led Zeppelin was always more popular in the US than the UK, wheras Gnr had/have a massive british following. Also, Led Zep never released any singles here (aside form WLL in 97) wheras Gnr released lots, which helped a lot. Title: Re: Top uk 100 list... Obviously there's alot less material to choose from, but I just like it better. Title: Re: Top uk 100 list... Post by: jarmo on December 11, 2007, 09:47:29 AM Kinda surprising that a band like Metallica, who many consider to be the biggest hard rock band on the planet, isn't listed.
Yet another reason why GN'R shouldn't be lumped together with any of those L.A. bands from the 80s. They're obviously above them all. /jarmo Title: Re: Top uk 100 list... I know, but considering they also included album sales in those numbers and they do have albums out along with a quite big fan base. /jarmo Title: Re: Top uk 100 list...
