Title: UGH... WMA to MP3 conversion...
Post by: thereisnodanaonlyz on December 03, 2007, 12:31:25 AM
Yup... exactly as the subject suggests...

I downloaded/subscribed to Yahoo Music's Jukebox thing.? A pretty sweet deal they offer but obviously the songs are in "WMA" format.? How lame... This requires buying a separate conversion program. The only one i could find that really worked even slightly was "AllMusicConverter" aka "SoundTaxi."
Runs like shit on Vista.? You can really only convert like, 20 songs at a time before you get the "R&R Installer" problem and need to restart your computer to resume.

Anyone else use any other conversion programs that work well?

You can use any audio editor. Goldwave and Easy CDDA File Converter are the best IMO. They're not free, of course ;D
I don't know if DRM protected WMA's work with these programs. I'm guessing not.

I heard Vista's pretty lame. My ex has that, and it's annoying like hell. :[

I'm sure you can download a conversion somewhere, right?

My little brother somehow did that, anyways.

Is it encrypted WMA?

If not - iTunes for Windows will convert from WMA to MP3.
