Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I was just thinking...

How awesome it would be if gnr would begin some sort of cliffhanger phenomenon at the end of cd.  Somehow tell a story that, at the very end of the album, left us all hanging with the question "what happens next" or "to be continued".  I, for one, think it would make the wait worth while.

And before anyone mentions it, NO - not anything like trapped in the closet from that shithead r.kelly!

Just something different from a typical hard rock album, that's all.

What do ya'll think?

If you want storie tellers, buy Rhapsody of Fire, Symphony X and Dream Theater's albums... all great, different rock bands!!!

I don't think it would work very well, I can't really see a GnR concept record.

I was thinking they could put a min song at the end of CD saying the date of the next cd and a short sample of a song or 2 from the next CD..But it would take away from this CD and lets just worrie about getting thie CD out first. : ok:

How about if they scrap Chinese Democracy altogether and have a differant album w/ songs we haven't heard or read about..Than follow it up w/ Chinese Democracy.
Some possible names: Use Your Illusion III, or the Pasta Incident.

I think that when CD comes out, it won't be a typical rock album..

it'll be an extra-ordinary masterpiece ;)

I think it would be cool if the new albums had names like:
1st album "SILENT"  2nd album "MINDS" 3rd album "WANDER" 4th "FOREVER"

well... I think that it would be cool if they added a "secret" track...
that lasts for like 15 seconds... and it's a clip that consists of like 3 songs from the next album all meshed up into 15 seconds of noise...

I think I would be MORE than satisfied just knowing the CD is out and about... I wouldn't even care about a secret track at that point. XD

i think he means like SOAD did on Hyptonise/Mezmerise with Soldier Side. the intro was on the beginning of 1 cd and the full song on another

How about "Appetite for Spaghetti"......That would tie together the beginning to the end of old era.   Maybe they should just start over with this idea and scrap the other stuff they have been working on... ;D      :rofl:

Axl said it was a very complex record and he was trying to do something different.

I don't think it's surprising if there's some concept.  But I'd be surprised if it was like of this topic...sry :P

Like putting "With your bitch slap rappin' and your cocaine tongue you get nothin' done" in the AFD liner notes or "Ain't I Fun?" in the UYI liner notes?
