Title: Torrent files off computer and onto CD!!! Post by: JonnyZ322 on November 27, 2007, 11:14:37 AM Can someone please help me? I downloaded the torrent "Video Trilogy". It's slowing down my computer, so I want to burn it to a CD. I don't have a DVD burner, only a regular burner. I used winrar to zip it (i think) because it was so big, but it is too big still to burn onto a data cd project. I don't know what to do, i am new to this, and i would love to start a nice collection, but i don't know what to do with these torrents once i download them. Can someone please give me some advice?
Thanks JonnyZ Title: Re: Torrent files off computer and onto CD!!! Post by: MJ23 on November 27, 2007, 11:25:59 AM Google for hjsplits.exe. This program will allow you to split the rar file into 700MB chunks which can be burned then onto a data CD. But you can do it with WinRAR too. When you want to watch the downloaded files, you will need to merge them all onto your harddrive and extract them, but at least they are not slowing your computer down.
I hope it helped you a little bit. Title: Re: Torrent files off computer and onto CD!!! Post by: Bandita on November 27, 2007, 03:44:41 PM WinRar should be able to do it easily as well if you use the wizard. Just go to that and choose "create an archive" then choose the file, click next and then it will give you the option to break it into smaller parts and one of the options will be 700mb to fit on a CD. Then you can just burn the parts onto the CDs.
