Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Mysteron says the album is handed in. Bumblefoot said the same thing to a fan he met. Dave over at cd.com says the record is not handed in. Glenn, the guy that "regularly" meets Axl says early spring is the earliest possible release date.
Who are we supposed to believe?

Axl said himself that he would update us when recording/mixing/mastering was done. He hasn't done that yet.

So what are we supposed to believe? Realistically?

Is this current silence what we fear: A new long, long wait with no news or information whatsoever?

Someone has to know SOMETHING, right?

I thought the Bumblefoot story wasn't true?

Here's my two cents,

I don't look for signs, rumors, hearsay etc. . . . .

The only time I will put any thought into the release of Chinese Democracy is if Axl comes out and says it publicy. ?Anything other than that is a waste of time as it's alot of this person said this, but he may have meant that . . .

I'll be honest with you - I just stopped caring about 8 years ago. ?If it comes out - that's great - we'll get to hear one hell of an album. If it doesn't, I have shit loads of GN'R's music that I am more than happy listening to.

I wouldn't be suprised if Axl released an album and Chinese Democracy became a box set entitled the Chinese Democracy Sessions.

I believe, very  firmly, that as soon as the album has reached the state where Axl feels he doesn't have to touch&tamper with  it again he will inform media/fans about it instantly. Just to get it off his chest.You know, "Ok! that's it. *I* am done now. When it comes out - not my problem anymore.PHEW."

I don't believe that there is finished and "sealed" CD save  for packaging and printing sitting at record label vaults quietly waiting for some mysterious "right moment" Not without Axl/record label/Someone actually officially announcing it.

Actually, and I'm sick of people misquoting Axl and his letter, he said that he will notify us when there is another release date.  Here it is:

"Once it is finalized and official, you will be notified. If we are delayed for unseen reasons, you also will be notified as soon as possible in regard to a new date, and the album will be released as shortly thereafter as is possible."


So, as everyone hates to hear, let's wait and see what will happen next. Even though everyone does not want to believe it, I believe they are working hard to get this out and those "unseen reasons" keep popping up.

No he didn't, he said the ball is in the record companies court, and they are holding things up. I think the Ron rumour was false too. There's been nothing to suggest the album has been handed in as of yet.

This whole thing is pretty wierd i tell ya, but i do think that Axl actually wants this thing out which means we'll get to hear it whenever everything is as it should be.

And i don't think that there's musical issues thats holding this back. It's got to be legal shit or mind shit or something to that extent... Thats just my personal opinion tho...

he said we would be notified when the release date was fixed. he didn't even say how and by whom we'd be notified. 

we have been hearing the album rumors since 1995...its 2008 in two monhts

i have no friggin clue.and it's really getting too much never knowing jack.if it comes out i hope im alive it seems of something in the future,future i don't know really.what a drag that is really.

Well Bach said that there is like four albums worth of material, I think it was the N.Y. Times article ('05?) where it was stated that Axl is funding the recordings of his own pocket now and the GH album has made up the 13 or so millions that the record company had invested in CD.

So at the moment they (Axl vs. record company) could be debating about who owns the masters, does the record company own CD and does Axl own the three other cd's and shit like that.

Something is holding CD from not being released but it could be anything really, the whole thing is more complicated than we know.


It ain't coming out this year, that's pretty sure now, so.. maybe next year
