Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Obviously we all post here because we are GN'R fans, but beyond that, why do yo spend time here?

Most of my posts are not GN'R related (although I will post there a lot more if/when the CD comes out) and I post instead in the jungle/bad obsession section.

Basically, I like this board because I like the community, it's sort of a place where I've found an online "home," so-to-speak, of like-minded people. No real snobs, not too many morons, but a place for regular, meat-and-potato people.

I also like how the board is made up of people from different countries. It's cool to interact with people from all over the world, who may have a different perspective than those in the States.

Actually, at this point, I think it's just a habit.  I'm also curious to see how the discussions will go if and when GN'R releases a new album... until then, there's always some interesting stories and topics going in the Jungle, Bad Obsession and Sports sections.  A lot of the bullshit on other forums gets filtered out (insults, smiley posts, etc.) so it makes it easy to breeze through the board.

Obviously for the band, but I've come to like and enjoy the writtings of other people like SLCPUNK, fuckin_crazy etc.

And yeah, I like the way Jarmo handle certain people.

basically I'm here because it's the best board dedicated to GN'R and it's a fun place too !

It has great wrestling fans....

Because it's the only forum in which I feel comfortable.

What EXACTLY happened between the two of you when you first met?

i like coming hear everyday regardless of CD because of the people. Loaded Nightrain and cheapjon and you too richard and many more have all made me laugh a lot over the last year i've been here. And it has been really cool talking to people all over the world i've met some really cool people (over msn) and can't wait for the future of this board : ok:

maybe soon we'll have even more to talk about besides politics and "rumors" and hopefully have a CD in our hands soon

Well, I love Guns N' Roses, this message board loads fastly, its easy to read, and I love the way its leaded, I mean, the focus in the present and the full respect to the current band members.

I think I would post a lot more if my english was better.

No need to say that HTGTH has two big advantages regarding the rest of the boards: HBK and Mysteron  :peace:

Its the best Guns N Roses site on the net, easily :)   Theres more actual fans of the band here than haters, which isnt' the case at many other boards.

No, seriously, I'm here because I think it's the best GNR site out there.  All inclusive of everyone - not just about yesterday and not just about today.  And it's entertaining - people have meltdowns over things, you know?  The debates, back and forth, are interesting.  It IS addictive.

With as busy as GNR has been since 1993( ::)), we somehow find ways to find the time to, talk about everything else around here...

I was born with the hat.

On the german board they talk more about "you should post here and there" or "we do it this and that way" than actually posting something of any substance or entertainment value. It feels like you are in school, not among fellow fans. Most people there don't even speak english yet dare discussing the lyrics (if they ever get to discussing the lyrics) as if they knew what they were talking about. Also, the majority there is from the yesterday Slash side of the fan fence while I am from the progressive Axl/Pitman/Buckethead side. Doesn't mix too well, lots of arguments, always the same shit, gets boring after a while. And yes I am from Germany maybe that explains my bad english. I am trying though.

All other english language boards are too complicated, have too few members or the design hurts my eyes. On some,  the signatures are annoying, and some sites don't even work on my computer. I read the HTGTH board since 2002 and I think it was a lot better some time ago. It is still the best possible board around for me, even if it could be a lot better though with better moderating.

This is the first board I found after gnrx.com and the original chinesedemocracy.com both shut down years ago.

I do like to read relevant responses to topics.  Scenario:  Someone posts a topic asking a question.  Now do I feel like reading 10 pages of idiots calling the original poster an idiot?  Or do I just want to read the answers?  Rhetorical questions, btw.

Overall I think it's the best GNR site out there. I only post in the GNR section here. There are other boards where I know people better and I engage in non-GNR discussions there. But I find pretty good GNR talk here (when there's something to talk about  :hihi:)

    I find the dining here quite nice and the people have warm hearts and kind faces.  It's also a nice place to hear about GnR.

I was introduced through a friend. Then, after reading some of the threads and posting, I found people with a similar sense of humor. some of the stuff posted here has made me LMFAO. Plus, it is the best GNR site I have found and it's positive. There are so many negative people nowadays, it's refreshing to keep on the bright side. Sometimes it takes will power but overall, it's all good.

I love that people from all over the world blog here.

I love that there are other intelligent discussions.

I hope to meet some bloggers one day.

I chose this site over the others simply because the admin cuts out all the bullshit....some call it censorship, I call it bullshit screening.

This along with chinesedemocracy.com are the only two Guns forums I've been to where (most) of the people love the current GnR.  There are certain sites where GnR "fans" do nothing but bitch and moan about everything like that is going to change anything.  At least here while everyone wishes we had the album by now people still support Guns and realize that Axl ain't releasing the album until he damn well pleases and until the record company approves of a release strategy, and complaining and constant negativity isn't going to change any of that

I Found this board while searching for some GN'R demos on google.
I stayed when when I found "Appetite for Collection" section.
Now I like to read what other fans are saying about GN'R and I'm always on the lookout for some cool bootlegs.

Because there's been an emotional and gaping hole in my life since Guns went silent (in terms of releasing new recorded material) following the Spaghetti Incident.  Spending time here with others who feel the same makes the time pass just a bit faster as the wait for CD continues...

Because I like GNR and I am a big fan of Axl Rose. I like this site because the moderators demand respect for the band and because they don?t accept the rumours and lies.

yea to me thats what puts this place head and shoulders above the others.   its what you wuld expect at a fan site.  i'm not interested in the opinions of "fans" who don't even like the current lineup we have.

Since the writers strike this place has really gone to shit. I may just wait it out til they reach an agreement.

'cause it's the best damn forum on the 'net today. I remember the early stages of 200 Intentions, the GNRONLINE board, and mygnr before it was a forum, more so like a craigslist bulletin board, anyways, this has always been the place. GNRONLINE board was hella cool to though.

I rarely post but I read the board everyday. I like this place because there's less bullshit here than in other forums. I've been visiting this site nearly everyday for almost ten years now :o

I post here because Jarmo is pretty hilarious and because negative posters like the EMS guys can't talk crap about the band and get away with it. It's a fun place to talk about my favorite band and there are consequences for your actions.
