Title: meaning of Spaghetti Incident
Post by: LIGuns on November 11, 2007, 08:03:35 PM
In Slash's book he states after telling a story abut Axl throwing Italian food on the side walk that he would tell where the title Spaghetti Incident came from.. Did I miss it later in the book? Does anyone know the meaning and where in the book it is written?

haven't read the book but i think i remember the story:

some mention was made in the steven adler lawsuit about a "spaghetti incident". Axl and slash didn't now what he was talking about, thats why theres a question mark in the title ( the spaghetti incident?) because they were questioning him.

i thought it was something to do with Steve Adler claiming sum1 ate his Spaghetti and he felt like he was being driven out of the band because of incidents like that!!

I read this: Spaghetti was code coke kind of thing, n them used to call the coke in code, n that "Sapghetti" was Steve's n Duff took it, he in the lawsuit, Steve told Duff: "What about The Spaghetti Incident?". Don't know if that's true,  ???, that's what I read, this could be another version

From what I understand....

Steven mentioned in his lawsuit that the band wasn't a team anymore.  They didn't care about each other anymore, and everone started to become selfish.  He mentioned a hoard of incidents that illustrated this, and then said "and then there was the Spaghetti Incident!"  And the GNR camp's reaction to it was "THE SPAGHETII INCIDENT?"  Steven went on to explain that he had gotten some spaghetti and fallen asleep, and the other band members ate it all and left him none.  Again, it was one among many examples given by Steven how the band wasn't on the same page anymore.

Yeah I also thought that it was code for drugs.  I thought someone stole his drug stash (his "spaghetti") at one point.  This was then brought up in the lawsuit and obviously talked about it in code "the spaghetti incident" ie. the time somone stole his drugs.

 ???

I'm in the hotel industry and I get these hotel news type e-mails. Awhile back I got one and it was talking about a hotel in Florida (renovations  history etc.) along that with that they went on to explain that it is a preferred hotel with celebreties that are playing gigs there including Guns N' Roses and stated the Axl spent hours locked in his room denying to come out while a full arena of fans were waiting (UYI tour). Once he came out they found the Presidential Suite walls smeared with Spaghetti.  Seriously I 'm not kidding!

At this point I thought, Fuck, I finally found out what "The Spaghetti Incident" means.

I don't know if it has any relation but it would make sense, I remember Slash explaining it on Muchmusic and he was saying that everyone in the GNR camp was like lawsuit? TSI what the fuck is this? and didn't say much more than it is an inside joke.

I have been looking for this e-mail forever to post it here but with no success as soon as I find it it will be posted.
