I saw Juliette and the Licks yesterday.   Damn good show.   For some reason I was expecting her to be a little more "balls out" than she was, but still a fantastic show.

I saw Juliette and the Licks yesterday.? ?Damn good show.? ?For some reason I was expecting her to be a little more "balls out" than she was, but still a fantastic show.

Hey cool, indeed they put on a great Rock N Roll show...it was an AWESOME show here on Rio, one of the best RnR shows i saw in a long time ! ;D

Where did you saw then ?!
What city ?! She did stage dive ?!....Juliette could'nt resist Rio groove..

''I was expecting her to be a little more "balls out" than she was'' what you meant ?!

Yeah it was a great show, it was in Toronto (Canada).

She didn't stage dive, but she did crowd surf:

It was a great set.? ?I guess I was expecting her to be up on stage going off like a coke addict, but she was quite lucid and mellow at times.? ?It was a great show.?

BTW - this was a small club.  Perhaps 200-300 people.  If that.   I understand they've done some huge shows in South America, this was very small.  To put it in perspective, I was able to reach up and touch her bicep when she was flexing her muscles.   I held the door open for her when she was going into the venue etc.

Juliette is very very special, she's a true artist...i think they had a shot, this band will be HUGE !

Do you had the chance to talk to her ?! She is very down to earth...she s man she s incredible cool ...

PS   My friend Julia has a Brazilian site www.julietteandthelicks.com.br, its was Julia Birdth Day, look what Juliette Lewis and her Brother lightfield did ------------>  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw-YlcV3uh4

Yeah I got a bunch of pics, I'll PM you a link.

I don't recall the set list.? There was Get Up, Death of a Whore, Hot Kiss, Purgatory Blues, Bullshit King, You're Speaking My Language, American Boy, So Amazing.? ?I don't remember the rest, sorry.? I'm actually not a huge fan,? but I stumbled across her listing on Ticketmaster and figured that I HAD to go and see what she was like.? ?They're one of those bands that's been on my list of "bands to see", although I've never been a huge fan.? ?But it was a great show nonetheless.? :)

EDIT: And no, I didn't talk to her.  I was at the venue quite early and when the band was going in for soundcheck I actually held the door open for them :)  But I figured that she was probably either "in the zone" or "trying to get in the zone" and didn't really want to bother her.   After the show I have no issue approaching the artists, but I imagine that before they show they're often in their own place and can do without distractions.  I spoke to a few of the staff she had, some of the roadies etc, they all said she's great to work with.

Good stuff... I didnt know Dave Grohl played drums on this . Thanks for the link. Dave is still pretty in demand behind the kit. As much as i like the Foos it is still cool too see him playing drums every now and then. : ok:

I've seen them twice, once as support once as headliners. They put on a pretty good show. Got some good songs too  : ok:
