Post by: BKinNYC on October 22, 2007, 11:13:49 AM Bandita - I haven't seen any of those others, but I saw Mr. Brownstone twice, and they really sucked. They forgot the words, were off key etc. etc.
I saw them twice to give them the benefit of the doubt. But nope, they're really that bad. People sing along everything, so it gives the illusion that the band is better than they are. Just my humble opinion.... Title: Re: Best GNR cover band? Post by: Voodoochild on October 22, 2007, 11:36:13 AM I used to play in this band: Cool band!!!! what instrument did you play?? Mr. Brownstone rules!!!, the problem is once in while this guy "Corn Mo" replaces There Axl - Sean Greenhalgh and he sucks, Sean's Ok if he ever forgets any lyrics its because at every show the band goes through a big bottle of JD, I thought it was fake, the first time i saw them, but the next time they let me have a taste and its real, after every show these guys are hammered drunk just like the classic GNR which makes it all the more fun, plus the bandmembers are all in there 20's so there's real energy there Cant wait till 11/10 Title: Re: Best GNR cover band? Post by: COLDHEARTBREAKER on November 09, 2007, 05:35:22 AM Guns 2 Roses anyday of the week!
They are UK based not USA although the singer originates from there. No tribute band has come close to acheiving what they have as a band! They've even had MTV shoot one of their bigger shows, they've toured with the real Adler on drums, been in national UK news, Sky, MTV and magazines, played to a crowds of over 30.000, They are the first tribute band of any type to play the Marquee Club and Hard Rock Cafe in London, they've covered every image / era of GNR to date (minus new gnr) from the 87 era to 93, been recongnised by New GNR when the singer was vip on tour with them in 2006. Oh yeah and the singer from this band is the one who stole Skelly / Skynyrd Girl from us all lol ;D No other band i've seen live or online comes close! This band are like royality up in London and again all the band are in their 20's and some really good looking fellows as well :) When this band start going international again watch out ;) Complete history can be found on www.guns2roses.co.uk (http://www.guns2roses.co.uk) Some pics and clips below (thats Adler on the left) (http://a761.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/26/l_8752b81b97dce65da1e73fa7e790c778.jpg) (http://a285.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/4/l_4c9e03602d4df0d9fc58405871874cfc.jpg) (http://i6.tinypic.com/865hsnc.jpg) (http://b8.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/00404/83/21/404421238_l.jpg) (http://b6.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/00401/60/62/401302606_l.jpg) (http://a603.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/66/l_557bccfff2c0dc09c488104cfc8a2f0a.jpg) (http://a893.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/102/l_12c42247448545d925cd848fac5b6f6c.jpg) (http://a638.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/83/l_7968aa81ed20e717d949f18be7eeec8d.jpg) Nightrain with Steven Adler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4XCDNAkjxY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4XCDNAkjxY) Down on the Farm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyoNtU815HE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyoNtU815HE) Blues Jam - My Michelle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZJkrnRVLuY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZJkrnRVLuY) Title: Re: Best GNR cover band?
