I think he feels it is amazingly lame for a rock guitarist to be on "Ellen", and I could not agree more. Especially if he is trying to pimp his house. I LOVE Slash, my favorite musician of all-time, but when I saw this thread it made me cringe.

i was channel surfing too....caught it at the exact right time! i only kept it on Ellan cause they were playing "the last fight" in the background.....next thing i know they are inside slash's house with slash!! not what i was expecting to see!! it was cool to see, sure its not cool being on Ellan, but Slash really doesn't give a shit...i don't understand why he actually did it though?  why not go on conan o brian or something? that would be hilaroius....i gues ellan is better than nothing.

I don't know what all the fuss is about.  I love Ellen - I think she's hilarious, and I don't think Slash is whoring himself out by appearing on her show.  He has a sense of humor, too, you know.  I only saw the clip posted, here, and didn't see the rest of the show.  What I saw..I thought it was funny.  It's not meant to be taken so seriously.   

I agree with you. It?s not as if he?s appearing in every american talk-show. That would be whoring up. This ain?t. For the people who say Slash is whoring himself out, looking "un-rockstar" like, I really don't think Slash gives a shit what you think. Maybe his wife likes Ellen and he's going on for her. I must say I had a great laugh listening to the radio today (94.1 Philadelphia's WYSP)...after describing Slash setting up a reality show to find a new lead singer for Velvet Revolver and then mentioning Slash appearing on the Ellen Degeneres Show...he said, "Maybe Axl was the cool one after all!"   :rofl:  Gee ya think????   :rofl:  Then they rolled into Used to Love Her...nice intro.   :yes:

Ellen went against the rules, and did something no other performer had done. She is a visionary, and for that, she will always have my respect.

I like her..occasionally she say/does something that honestly makes me laugh...I dig her sense of humour and timing. Having Slash on in a daytime slot I thought was really cool. Say what you will, I enjoyed it. Slash has been on Kimmel so many times and even guest hosted..I never missed one. Shit, what are these guys suppose to do? not accept invitations to fun and exsposure? ::)  if I were he I would have gone on any show that asked just for the shits and giggles

I have never even seen her show, other than the clips here, but she deserves ALL of our respect. The woman stood up for what is right.

You're right - she did and does.  Personally, I think she's hilarious and love her.   I love the fact that she stood up for who she is - her series ended after she "came out", but she's come back with a successful afternoon "talk" show, and it don't matter that she's a (whisper) lesbian.  And, yeah, somewhere, in the last several months, it seems Slash & Ellen have gained some respect & liking for each other, so he continues to show up and do goofy things.  So what?  It's funny.   

She likes girls?Hmmm! that increased my crdiddibility, but Iike those of the female persuasion.
