Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Well, I managed to get my idrty little hands on a DRAFT (i.e., PROMO) copy of the Reckless Road book.  Only 10 draft copies ever made and this is/was Ron Schneider's personal copy.  For anyone who's on th efence about buying this or concerned about shipping costs don't be - it is well worth it.  I don't want to give too much details and spoil the surprise for you guys when it arrives in your mailbox.  But axilism was right - this book is AWESOME!!!  Check out pics here:

I see you posted this on all the boards...but yeah it does look GREAT.  Is this the one that was for sale on ebay for a couple of thousand?

Well, I figured I'd post it in the main section since not everyone looks in Appetite For Collection and it's kinda interesting news but no worries.  I got in on eBay but certainly not for that much!

As much as I think I'll like this book, I'd never pay extra money for a promo book...

I have promoted this book to all the Greek FC members and trust me when I say this, we've probably made the biggest single order by a group of fans for this book...

It's the best book about that era. And the fact that Axl has no problem with it (besides 2 photos), says a lot.

What I said is that PERSONALLY I wouldn't pay too much money for a promo BOOK.

And I have paid LOTS of money for GNR merch...

I knew you'd be the one to buy it. :D

I wish someday we'll get such a good photo book about the current band...

What's cool about the draft copy is that it has pictures that won't be in the regular one (they've been removed/changed), typing that will be changed, etc.  I am also speculating that it just might include those 2 photos that Axl wanted removed.   : ok:

what about the unreleased footage on the site avalaible when u buy the book?

I believe it's pretty obvious that all that unreleased stuff will be accessed by the people who have actually bought the book, with a seperate code for each book.

I would think so but who knows!

Way to state the obvious.  He said SOMEDAY, not today, not tomorrow.  A little wishful thinking, that's all.  Can't wait to get my copy of the book.  Sent out Sept. 10th right?

The 2 photos would have been in the original manuscript. Draft copies are printed after manuscript approval.

Since the pre-sale for those special covers is over anyways, I'd hold off ordering this book until peoples actually start receiving their orders.

Shipping was supposed to start around the 10th of September for orders placed in early August.

To date, I don't think anyone has received their copy.

Go to enhancedbooks.com to see and hear more pages from the book. There was a problem thats now just about fixed. As of now about 100 books have been shipped and those were the Canter's cover the rest of the orders will be shipped ASAP.

it has nothing to do with the impact made.   it has to do with giving the fans some extra stuff we've never seen before about a great fucking lineup.   oh right.. you can't answer me.  :peace:
