For fuck's sake, I haven't a clue what she just said!  But this does help shine a light on a true American epidemic: people without maps.

Give maps to american citizens!

Fight for your right to have maps!

That's why I love Europe. We have maps here. Lots of them.

Some Americans collect maps as a hobby, unfortunately, most can't find America on a map, mush less a European country.

I don't know that I'd go so far as to say "most" can't find it, but I did require my students last semester to get an 80% or better on a map quiz for an international relations course, because people have no clue where things are.  I mean...I can understand getting mixing up Kazakhstan and Krgyzstan (or any "stan," really).  But the epidemic of cluelessness as to the difference between (not kidding) Mexico and Canada is astounding.

Yeah, that was an overgeneralization, but for the most part, Americans are incredibly ignorant in matters geographic, scientific, and mathmatic.

Your Fucking Crazy and I agree.? I think the most important subjects are the ones that we're weak on.? I think your right on by requiring an 80% for students to know where places are.? I had a social studies teacher in 7th. and 8th grade Mr. Valler who was out of his mind and made you know every Capital of states and most countries.? Every President and other countries leaders.? The Preamble word for word and all the parts of the constitution.? You had better get the amendments right too.? We had to know every part of the US government and believe it or not besides the Justices names, we had to know all the cabinet members.? We had to write our own 600 question final.? I just wanted to go play ball after school but I had better be home to watch the 7 p.m. world news.? Those 4 notebooks for the 2 years got me through High School and College w/o taking a single note.? I showed the notebooks to one of my college Professors who thought I used to cheat because I would basically sleep through his lectures.? He handed them back and said You deserve an A and don't have to come to class for the remaining 3 weeks because your Elementery teacher was a madman.
