Title: Karl Rove Resigns

It's about freaking time!

My one question is: why now?

I'm wondering if something is about to "pop up" that's pretty much the nail in the coffin and he was given a heads up about it.  I just don't buy the "Well, I've been talking about it for a year now..." excuse.

This doesnt satisfy me at all.  The damage is done.  Even if hes technically resigned, my guess is hell still be an influential adviser to the president.

True, the damage has been done but I'll take it.  This is a great day for America.  Maybe Bush will bail in his own presidency!!

Nah, this is on the same par as the Mitchell resignation, but AmeriKans are too stoopid to reconize the significance of what has happened.

Anyone believe that "needs to spend time with family" bullshit?

Bush has less than a year and a half to go, why not just stick around until January of 2009? Wonder what all this is about...

He resigned because of the rumor of the GnR C.D. was going to be released, so he wanted to be first in line.
? ? Honestly I still have to work regardless and it don't matter what administration is in.? Shit happens, we deal with it and adapt accordingly.? If we don't, then we're worthless.? In my life time I've seen wars and battles in every Presidency regardless of idiolgy or politicing.? I've personally been in battle for 4.? To complain and whine over the who and why is just a waste of time.? You do what you need to do survive and live your life the best you can and help your neighbors regardless of what they believe in.
? ? ?To hate a person because of their beliefs, I've learned is a waste of time.? Living angry isn't living unless anger is? paramount on your survival in a situation.? To make as many friends as possible and by helping people out who are in need or just leaving them be if they decline your offer is probably more satisfying.? The old adage "Don't judge a book by it's cover", has really worked for me.? Sometimes ya gotta just say WTF has also worked.?

Whatever be your own person and hopefully you'll be good to go.  God speed........

Wow....I'm sorry..this post just floored me.

How can you NOT care who governs?  How can you NOT care how a person, in such an important position, is doing their job?  How can someone who has fought for our freedom, for our country, just not care?  I think (and I'm being serious) that's sad.

Our founding fathers certainly didn't feel that way.  That type of ambivalance is so prevalent in our country today....and I think it's largely why we see so many problems in our country.  "That's not MY job....my job doesn't change no matter who's in office...that's THEIR job".  The thing is..it IS your job.  Participation in the system is all our jobs.  Knowledge of what's going on, and how it effects us (and it DOES effect you), is all our jobs.  Some choose to shirk that job, I know.

Look, I don't hate anyone.  Not Bush, not Rove...nobody.  But I can certainly dislike their ideology, their work ethic, their beliefs and, most importantly, their competance in performing their jobs.

Pilferk, I think you might find that JMack 'serves his country'. That's his duty regardless of who is in power.

No, I know.....I "got" that.

But that's what I find so sad.  Here's a guy risking his life for his country....day in and day out, fighting for the ideals on which the country is founded.  And it seems like he's saying he's so jaded, disillusioned, etc with the current system that he thinks political discussion, debate, etc is pointless....and that it doesn't matter WHO governs in all this.  Maybe I'm misunderstanding.....

He's speaking like a soldier.

He's trained, he's conditioned, he's in the middle of a tour of duty.
