News must be really slow if we are discussing GnR tribute bands in the main forum.

I dont find it as news is slow , as more the band just finished up a great span of touring, and now things are in the works I suppose for the album to really see the light of day, all the memgers are in place, they rock hard like never beofre, and fans and friend getting together to see a tribute band isnt the worst thig, its just having fun.

was a fun show, IM kinda pissed off , after the night, I realized on the subway goin home that I left my cam in a deli when I went to get a beer for the ride, home. IT was a shitty cam anyway like 10 yrs old, regardless, Ill stop by the deli and see if the clerk there hfound it and held , before I work later. HUng out with jenna side, BArbie, IFinloveVR, sexkitten, and quite afew other cool people.


Set these guys did, in no particular order, ISO, Brownstone, My MIchelle, WTTJ, RQ, NT, SCOM, OTGM, Your Crazy(lies version), Mama Kin, PATeince, Used to love her, DC, YCBM, Civil war, yes kitten that was awesome:), NR, GET in the ring,KOHD.PC

but yeah the show was sweet and they really are an awesome gnr tribute band...me and all my buddies were up front hammered drunk!

There ought to be more tribute bands that play more than just AFD and a few from the Illusions, its like seeing new GNR but cheaper and crappier/campier.  Don't get me wrong, AFD is classic and has GNR's best songs, but UYI deserve some respect too.  Are there any UYI-heavy GNR tribute bands?

Had such a blast last night! ?I got there so late, I only hung out with Jaz and Ifinglovevr...my tried and true posse! ?:beer:

It was really hot, sweaty and crowded! By the end of the night I was drenched in sweat and beer! ?:beer: Lovely, right?

This Axl was so spot on looks/sound-wise....more so than the anniversary tribute band. ?And...the Duff was kinda fat again.

I can't believe it ended at 3am!

the guitarist who played lead was real good and if your into live music w/ kicking guitar solo's.....it was a fairly cheap show...... :smoking:

I am not tryin to spoil u all's good time or experience if u are into that but to me its pretty pathetic and kind of weird to have guys dress up as other people and pretend to be them..............

it doesn't have to be so serious, D.  A tribute band is just that, a tribute to something you enjoy.    The kind of thing to go do if there is nothing better to do and you are bored.

I had so Much fun Last night, it was awsome hanging out with all you guys again, The Axl of this band so perfect its hilarious He even does the "Axl Rants" between songs, and sounds exactly like him its so funny.

In the middle of patience Axl slipped in a few line of "Fall To Pieces" which sounded really cool.

I cant wait till they come come back

To all the people who just dont get it, its just plain fun, and we only take pictures of the band members because its funny, and because they have pretty good costumes

I actually saw Bon Jovi on youtube once and that was pretty gay in itself....he does have nice frosting and highlights though.  :hihi: jk  Dude a cover band is all about fun.  Everyone there probably nice and drunk and it was just a good ole time hanging out with your friends and meeting strangers and talking about GNR in some way.  I think you're brushing alongside the totally anal retentive GNR "supporters" who just don't get "it".  It's all about fun man......if you'd go to one of these shows with some buddies you'd have a really good time....if you let yourself that is.  Don't go there and be like, "ohhhh well these guys suck.....the way that guy dressed as Slash tries to dip his head and tilt his guitar like the real Slash did, as seen on my personal collection Tupelo, Mississippi on August 7th, 1992 at the 14:31 minute mark.  Don't be that dude...be the guy having fun.  "It" is fun. The whole essence of GNR is fun...partying, getting trashed, good tunes and just rocking the fuck out.

Actually the pics I was more concerned about was the pics I was taking of us hanging out and having fun, not the band...

You wanna know why we go its because its a good time, if u are a  guns fan you dont get hte pleasure of hearing the music live that much most bands you see now coming up that have cheap shows all the do is fuckin scream, me as a guns fan i want to go 2 a show where i can hear the songs in a live enviorment with people who are having a good time enjoying the music singing along and who arnt all deprested emo fuckers.  SHit its like all the music that ppl listens to our days is fuckin rap where u cant hear a fuckin word word rock where its like slit my wrist hope 2 die shit, i wanna go 2 a rock show and listen 2 the music i like and no that the people around me like the music as well

on a side note that shit when he threw in fall to pieces it was amazing IfnloveVR it was good shit

Origional GNR or not, this was a great show.? I like going to gigs like this as it gives me a chance to:

-get really drunk (maybe other things in the process...)
-release energy and frustration... especially with all the bullshit I have to put up with during the week ... mostly work related....
-be with friends and fellow GNR fans....
-meet new people....
