I may be wrong, and someone correct me if I am, but I don't think he has made any mention of the album or even new song names they play in concert during any of the 100+ shows they have played the past year or so. It is hard to believe everything will flip on a dime tonight just because it is the last show of the tour. We might get some new old songs like Don't Cry recently, but as far as any acknowledgement of the album it is highly doubtful as by not acknowledging it he does not have to deal with the fallout of another missed hypothetical target date. The fact that Axl hasn't mentioned the album or the new songs at current concerts shouldn't be seen as a negative that the album isn't coming out. ?He just doesn't communicate with the fans as much as he did back in the day. ?He really doesn't introduce any songs anymore, new, old, whatever. ?So I wouldn't read into that too much. He said it was an incredible show, saying that they got Rocket Queen and it was a cracking version. He reckons it was either the best gig of the tour or equal with the first chiba show. He said Axl was in amazing form. He interacted really well with the crowd mentioning Osaka many times and had even more energy than usual and his voice was absolutely amazing. He said the highlight was "Chinese Democracy" as the crowd absolutely loved it, saying everyone was going crazy. He said the huge round of applause at the end was similar to one of the classics like Nightrain or PC... Thank you christos for all the updating and everything(including converting my misspellings and lazy abbreviations into proper words.) I basically joined this board to do the hell of the updates from japan?as I've been updated by this site and the board. Without this site, we'd be in the dark, maybe still following whatever the media says....Kudos to Jarmo and mods, and brilliant posters. I personally wanted to update you on every tiny tidbit but k-tai typing skill is far from excellent. However, I found just sending the song titles didn't hurt my live experience at all. I danced and sung along to every song and enjoyed myself to the full. So the credits should go to christos and the other updaters that passed interesting tidbits. And the people who read the updates. The Osaka crowd were so energetic. I know the crowds in Nagoya and budokan were also totally into the shows but Osaka crowd showed their applause more directly and promptly with actions. The whole house kept bouncing from the start to the end. maybe it's because it was All standing. Funny as many were complaining as how messe and intex weren't great venues beforehand. which is true but that didn't stop the band and the crowd from enjoying teh shows. the performances were magical. Every note and every move of each member was priceless. I felt like the 2 hours and half passed before I could blink and at the same time every second of it would last forever. To Guns N Roses, Thank you so much for the mind-blowing shows. Generally speaking, all the Japanese shows were amazing. Same goes for the fans attending the shows. I don't think I've ever seen that kind of respect and love for the band before. I'm not saying fans in other countries don't love the band, it just seemed like they showed it in a different way at the shows in Japan. They were clapping and cheering when the songs ended. But then they were quiet and waiting to hear if somebody said something (I assume). Occasionally you could hear somebody yell AXL! at the back of the venue. If you listen to Rocket Queen, you get a good example of nice crowd participation in Osaka. It's kinda funny. I was expecting something completely different crowd wise. What a pleasant experience. The band was tighter and sounded better than before. If you didn't like these shows, you have no fucking pulse. And the way he sang the end of IRS and, specially, the end of Rocket Queen was incredibly emotive.
That Rocket Queen version was just flawless. It would have shivered your timbers if you?d been there. @ the people who weren't there, altho of good quality, the boots are nothing compared to the real live experience. Besides, where did all the wicked bass beats go? We were like puppies taken to the first walk after a long time. any reviewer would lose credibility and make an immediate laughingstock of themselves if they said the band didn't rock the crowd hard or showed little energies. |
