Title: Apetite for destruction-posibille tread
Post by: bolton on July 21, 2007, 02:08:33 AM
well as we know apetite for destruction made revolution in rnr music in late 80's,and to be real as one man said "gnr were first alternative band"

but what do you think that this album saw light of the day 20 years later, yesterday?
would it be so huge?
would today kids and teenagers loved it?
would it sell 20 milion copies?

I think all the little poser kids out there today would be like..........ewwww why is this man in leather chaps and a biker's hat screaming at me...and what's the deal with the guy with the hat.  Then they'd probably suggest, "needs more nu-metal elements".  Maybe a spot for Akon in there on Sweet Child O Mine

if you're talkin about AFD, I think that this album will be never forget, all their songs are anthems! and many many kids love songs like Jungle, Easy, PC, SCOM... at least it isn't a reggaeton/n? metal dip shit album   it's just hard rock in its pure essence

i think bill summed t up pretty well.. the reason for all this is because times, trends and the world actuqlly changes and evolves.. not always for the better though

AFD wouldn't sell 20 copies.. no record would have today i think..

A 10 year old child, last night, had a conversation with me concerning rock n roll. So yes, there will always be people who appreciate good music, and I have faith in the next generation of rockers.

It would sell a shitload, but nowhere near what it did. And that's only because of downloading.

Yeah it would still sell well, but not as well.

On a side note, I think we're all destined to have Michael Jackson on the top of the album charts with a whopping 60 million copies of Thriller sold. That will never be bested ... never
