Here?s another tantilizing tidbit: Slash will be a character in the game. The legendary guitarist will not, however, be easy to get to: In order to ?unlock? Slash (who donned a motion-capture suit so game makers could track his every pluck), players will have to face him in a one-on-one shredding duel after completing all the songs in the game. No word on whether players are getting Appetite-era Slash, the scruffy leader of Slash?s Snakepit, Michael Jackson?s pal Slash or the Paulina Rubio-collaborating current member of Velvet Revolver.

Rumor...Velvet Revolver to play Rock Band Party. Remember that Rock Band E3 Party invite we posted last week? The one that said there was a going to be "super secret special guests" ? Well, a little birdie tells me that the band for the party will be Velvet Revolver. Slash was not available to play on the version they had on the exhibit floor...but you could play WTTJ. That was pretty cool. Also very hard. My first time ever playing the game. I got my ass handed to me by my friend.
