How do you play AVI file on Windows Media Player 11??
I have many GNR Video and the type of file is AVI, when I play it on WMP, it says acquiring codec - codec acquired but then only the audio was played. There is no picture, video whatsoever...

What should I do so that I can watch the video as well??

I'm may be dumb as I'm not a computer expert (
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

if you are NOT using Windows Vista, you can install this codec pack, that will play almost everything:

Cole2k Media - Codec Pack - 6.0.6 Advanced

please, read everything before installing this pack because, as I dont have your problem, I dont know if it actually works.

just google the vlc media player. it plays EVEYTHING.

dont wanna sound like an ass, but he's asking how to play AVI files in Windows Media Player 11. He mentioned a specifical software and a specifical version.
