Title: contraband release
Post by: lynn1961 on July 02, 2007, 10:44:15 PM
I've only been lurking around this forum for about 3 yrs.  So, I don't know what went on, before that.  In the last couple of  months, I've noticed a huge VR vs GnR vs Axl vs Scott going on, around here.  ad nauseum.  I admit, I've gotten involved with it, here or there, but have tried very hard to stay out of it.  Libertad is about to be released, so I'm sure that this helps to fuel this whole thing along.

My question is...was it like this just before Contraband was released?   I wasn't here, then, so I have no idea.  Seriously, though, was it like this, then?  Just some lame thing I've been wondering about.....

Yes, it was just as bad, but a very exciting time.  All the GNR fans seemed very interested.

It was similar, but with a different cast of characters.  One poster called for a boycott of Contraband.

The only reason to not buy a record is because you don't like the music.  The only worthwhile reason.

But, this was brewing the moment Slash, Duff and Matt decided to start a band.

I guess I pretty much figured all that.  Calling for a boycott of an album is pretty hilarious, though!  It just seems so crazy, but I guess it's something that is bound to happen.   Makes for an interesting place to be, sometimes!
