I was just wondering,  which is peoples favourite part of any song.  And by favourite part i mean eg the end of PC, or the start of Jungle. Hopefully ye ye get the picture.

yeah i get it.. in rocket queen.. like 3.25 into it when the songs changes first with the drums.. then comes the great guitar licks.. just awesome.. and the bass is so fine too.. then comes one of my favourite lyrical GNR part in a song:

As the person above said, those last three minutes of Coma are perhaps the greatest lyrics ever written.

I saw the title for this topic and immediately thought of the last verse of coma. Too bad like 3 people already beat me to it. Also getting mention tho would be that little "Ahhhhhhh" at the end of the breakdown before the solo. Always loved that.

i like the part just before that when that one chick (Adrian Smith) starts to cum :)

besides that i'll have to say the beginning of CHINESE DEMOCRACY (the song) and the end of Coma : ok:

I love the very end of November Rain.

Also, Rocket Queen, live, with the "Tastes Good!"  rap thing - you know what I mean.  Or with the talkbox.  Either one. 

the extended instrumental part, leaded by the unbelievable Buckethead guitar solo, in ''There Was A Time'' is not only, in my opinion, the best part of the song, but also the best 2 minutes of all the GNR songbook. Other outstanding parts are the last part of ''Coma'', the ending of ''Chinese Democracy'' and obviously the ''D'you know where u are, you're in the jungle baby, you're gonna die'' part.

All the final parts of the GNR songs are killer.

Seconded. Or is thirded? Fourthed? I don't know, people know it's a cool part.

Other cool moments for me are the intro to Bad Obsession (harmonica FTW), the "Petty baby/Oh, honey/You let me down, honey" part of Back Off Bitch and the entire first verse of Human Being where Axl just doesn't let up for air at all.

OK, that's four moments but I can't decide.

The Breakdown in Better "I never wanted you to be so full of anger" bit. That whole breakdown is massive. And the solo in I.R.S.

Yup, I'm with a lot of people: The last 3 minutes of Coma, in my opinion, is the greatest piece of lyricism I've ever heard.

Yeah I also love the lyrics in breakdown.. pretty much the whole song is A+

I'll jump on the last part of Coma bandwagon; so intense that it just sucks the life out of me (but in a good way). 

For me, other great moments are Slash's last solo in Estranged, the beginning of WTJ, last part of SCOM (where do we go now...)

For some reason i love this sentence in Breakdown: "Seems like everything was roses, when we held on to the guns"

I also love the last part in Coma, im always trying to sing a long.

I agree about Breakdown, too.  Some of the best lyrics they wrote, in my opinion.

Soloes In November Raid and guitar in YCBM,Keyboards in Estranged. Intro of WTTJ Live, First 30 secs of Nightrain.

Yeah I'll jump on with Coma too but live I can't go past any show where WTTJ is opened with, "Do you know where the f**k you are?"

The guitar melodies in Estranged, particularly when the first one hits - awesome, still blows me away every time.

The live outro in Paradise City is 2nd, awesome solo and then "name of city, good fuckin night".

Intro to SCOM is third.

Also, Paradise City chorus, WTTJ intro, "Fuck off" and then solo in It's So Easy, Rocket Queen outro, Double Talkin' Jive solo, NR outro, Coma outro and of course, that amazing Get In The ring intro.

And then of course there's the Back Off Bitch intro, Breakdown lyrics, Locom......., i could go on forever

the opening to wttj.  appetite was the 1st time i had heard gn'r when it was released all them years ago.  bought it on the day of release and as soon as i heard the opening i was hooked. 

id say the end of PC, or the intro for Pretty Tied Up. I just love the effect used on that one. Guitar kicks ass

I love the beginning to CD, That scream over the guitars at the start announces to the world that axl is back.

In TWAT, right after Robin's solo when Buckethead/BBF solo takes over.

there are a lot of them!!!.... as most of you have said, the last part of coma..... but one part where I really have a high volume on the stereo, and I really enjoy.... is the very beginning of Right Next door to Hell!!!!........ it rocks, man!!!!!!!!!! :yes:

I always loved the acoustic part at the end of double talkin jive. The only minor flaw I have in the illusions is the lack of acoustic guitar. Especially after having so much awesome acoustic in the lies disc.

Well they're a Hard Rock band never really expected too much acoustic from them , Although Slash can rip on an acoustic in ways i've never heard before.

I love slash's solo at the start of Get in the Ring  ... and in jungle  " and when you're high you'll never,ever wanna come down " ..so true :hihi:

I've always loved slash's first solo in estranged and the endings to rocket queen and coma . probably more but I cant think of em right now..lol

The end of rocket queen where he sings "All I ever wanted you to know is that I care..." then the part where he screams on jungle after he sings "when you're high you never wanna come down".

What always impresses me is AXl's amazing sense of timing and rhythm when he sings. It's spot on.

And of course Double Talkin' Jive live. Matt's drumming is just so fucking awesome, and when you combine it with Duff's heavy bass and Slash solo and riffs it becomes unbelievable.

I would go so far as to say that the last 5 minutes of Coma are unbelievable, starting from Slash's solo and climaxing with a mix of slash's outro with Axl's lyrics.

the lyrics "without you" in the last verse of estranged.

The way Axl sings the line:

I was gonna go with that line too.  Breakdown is a great song, #2 on my list after Rocket Queen, which a lot of people mentioned the last verse of that song.  The ending to Coma is obviously very powerful and the same can be said for TWAT.  Too many choices.  I love the three intro whistles that Axl does on Patience, Civil War, and Breakdown.  Not enough whistling in todays music.

I love the voice over bit in Civil War where Duff talks about the vacuum.

"We practice selective annihilation of mayors and government officials, for example, to create a vacuum, then we fill that vacuum. As popular war advances, peace is closer"

that is a quote from a peruvian militant general's speech, and i'm pretty sure it's axl who says it

I love the bit in Sweet Child where Axl sings "where do we go, where do we go now........I I I I where do we go now?

It builds to the two sharp beats on the drum and he sings where do we go again, starting at a dim 5th? up!

In the film clip he does the accompanying arm movement 'a la Pete Townsend' and stamps his foot.

It's got so much energy!
