Title: you have to pay to be in a fan club Post by: lenor on June 07, 2007, 08:06:21 PM i just read that you have to pay to be in the gnr fan club. is that how it is with all fan clubs? i have never been in one thats why i am asking, and do you get lots of perks out of it, i read that velvet revolver invited there fan club to a making of a video. i am not expecting anything like that, but i am wondering what do you get for your money.

But Prince had perks to being in the fan club, he would release songs on the internet available to fan club members, and club members had access to advance tickets (good seats too, not lame ass nosebleeds or lawn seats for inland invasion). I think there was a membership card and a few useless pamphlets. Not much insight on the band musically but I recall one w/ info on Duff and BMX bikes..Also it was not periodically and all of a sudden it just stopped coming..

I belong to NIN fan club and it was about 65 CAN for prem but it includes a members only t-shirt, early access to the concert, sound check ect. A few months back Trent brought the fans to a small room before the show served pizza and pop and played the entire "Year Zero" cd for them a few months before it came out. Pre-sale tickets are also a big part of the package. Being able to have access to tickets before the Gen pop is a nice perk as well. |
