probably theres a lack of communication here. Just speculating that they are "trying" to book the band in Brazil some time in november, BUT there is NO confirmed show, or of it even happening.

Let me try to explain: the producer says that they have a pre-contract with GN'R, and they will sign the definite contract in July. So, the show isn't really confirmed. Jarmo, you have some info about this, or you are just saying that the contract isn't signed by now??

But I hope they really play in Mineir?o! It's one of the biggest stadiums of Brazil, and will be completely packed for Guns!

BTW, I'm from Belo Horizonte, and will be a dream watch a concert in my city!!!!  :drool:

This isn't completely false. They are negotiating in order to bring Guns N' Roses to Belo Horizonte, however, It doesn't mean that they will not go to other cities.

Take it as a rumor.

i'm holding thumbs for those South American fans who are hoping that this may be true.....i also wish that they would perhaps consider renegotiating their South African gigs....lots of people here are waiting and hoping for some news of a possible return.... ???

This isn't false. The negotiation really is occurring. We don't know if the Guns N' Roses confirmed.

I've been working on and off as a small gigs promoter for the past 3-4 years.

If everytime I was negotiating with a band, I went out and announced that the band is confirmed to play any city... most fans would kill me.

Negotiating doesn't mean "CONFIRMED".

It means, I make an offer and you're thinking about it, or you're asking for an amount of money (and all the extras that go with a big gig or a series of gigs) and I'm thinking about it.

From what I see here, the promoter has made an offer and the band is thinking OR will think OR might think about it.

And Jarmo didn't post this cause he "thinks" it's not true.

He asked someone for information.

The guy who claims to be one of the promoters is posting in my board. He calls himself as John Doe (I guess it wouldn't be a casual choice of nickname).

He posted the following on my board:

"as far as I know, the contact with the band was with Beta and, trough her, others from the staff"

Jarmo, could you please forward that to her to address the rumor? Of course I believe in what you said, but I would like to clarify this as much as possible to people on my board...

Because people are still saying how the press conference did happened and are saying that when you denied, you said how it wasn't true that it was confirmed, but that wouldn't mean it's not on negotiation.

I believe in you man, I'm just doing that for other people that cares too much about details. Sorry for anything...
