This year's Download festival, which is scheduled to take place June 8-10 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, will be webcast via the event's official web site at this location. Acts confirmed to perform include VELVET REVOLVER, MEGADETH, KORN, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, LINKIN PARK, MARILYN MANSON, SLAYER, MACHINE HEAD, M?TLEY CR?E, IRON MAIDEN, EVANESCENCE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, STONE SOUR, LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON, DREAM THEATER, DIMMU BORGIR, WITHIN TEMPTATION and NAPALM DEATH.

The Download festival is a three-day rock/metal/punk festival held annually at the spiritual home of rock music in England ? Donington Park, which hosted the Monsters of Rock festivals between 1980 and 1996, and 2002's Ozzfest. It takes place in early summer, and is owned and managed by Live Nation.

Download festival 2006 ? which featured headliners TOOL, METALLICA and GUNS N' ROSES ? was said to be a huge success, with 75,000 visitors each day.

I just love these festival webcasts.. this is the first year in a long time that maiden didn't come to Finland, last year they did 3 shows here, I think they're giving us one year without them and then a big stadium gig.. anyway I have to check out maiden from this webcast  : ok: and many others of course

''Sex Type Thing'' is just brilliant, 7 minutes (including all that shit they do after the song) of intensity, genuine rock sound and that fabulous ''pilotish'' voice from Weiland. Incredible performance. As always, the best song in the VR setlist by far.

yeah man, i was really hoping they would've played it when i saw them here at the avalon in hollywood but they didnt play it   :(

didnt likke the show. they looked lifeless on stage  , needed aspeaker phnone to scream during a song... slash isnt looking his best, lookin a bit fat around the face...scott just stands there so does dave , little interation with the crowd.
They mustve been bored, half the time the camera swopped over the wcrwod they were stood ...
GNRs concert was better lkast year.. mrmore energy same with rock am ring, they felt  a bit crap :(
i gave them a chance but.. didnt like the concert at all . it isnt gnr.. no matterwhat people say.

Amazing, amazing performance. VR is just clicking on all cylinders right now and you can just tell they're having a hell of a good time.

The best song?, only for you, because it's evident that peole enjoy more song as It's so easy, Mr Brownstone and specially Slither...

I was a fe people back on the right hand side of the stage for VR at download and I have to say it was one of the best performances ive ever seen. It was definitly better than the lat few times ive seen them live.(even though the set list isnt as good) Whoever said they seem lifeless and out of shape etc, you couldnt be more wrong. The band  and audience really connected and it showed in the perfrmance
