Title: GNR Pinball Owners
Post by: ibelieveinaxl on June 05, 2007, 03:23:05 PM
Trying to get a list of owners of the gnr pinball machine. It would be a great source of keeping the machine up and running....anyone else own it?

Yep I own one.

No need to make the two plastics above the Axl hole I already had em professionally done.  I have the Axl Plastic plus the blue Starburst one that sits underneath it.

Let me know if you wanna buy any.

I've got a GN'R pinball machine, bought it in '99 or '00. Don't play on it that often anymore though, don't want anything to happen to it. The "Axl - Mysterie when lit" plastic is broken on mine aswell. Apart from that it's in great shape!!!

euhh..the less you play it ...the more likely something is going to happen to it...

anyway check twice a year that the batteries don't leak ... that could really ruin your machine.

Hey, currently I sell them on ebay here are the links with pics.

I normally sell em for $40AUD which is about $33USD.  If you like I will sell them for $25USD each inclusive of postage (special price for GNR fans).  It might sound expensive but they cost me $3,000USD to get profesionally done.

I have had 100% satisifaction from anybody that has bought them.

Let me know if you are interested?

I play every few months. Didn't think about the batteries, didn't know there were batteries in there to be honest. Thanks for the advise!!!

another tip...when you replace the batteries replace them with the power off and 1 by 1. also after replacing them (use the most expensive onces like Duracell or something..they are more reliable for not leaking) put a piece of tape over them where you can write the date on of when you have replaced them.

btw the batteries are behind the topglass.

I've got the pinball machine too.
I had to replace a few things over the years (the keyboards along the sides) and plenty of bulbs but the Axl plastic above the hole is still in good shape.

The batteries save things like the high scores and other settings that you may have personalised on it as you scroll thru the various menues.? If you have lost the key for the backglass you should still be able to unscrew the whole locking mechanism from the the top of the backbox, even if it's locked.

This isn't just a download section, it's Appetite For Collection; "Dedicated to trading of GN'R bootlegs, memorabilia, mp3s etc. Looking for bootlegs? Ask here. Links to downloads should also be posted here."
What section should this be in acording to you?

Why don't you get your facts straight before posting ya clown.? You have 9 posts on this board and already you are abusing people when you're clearly wrong.

"Appetite for Collection" - look it up.

(In fact on looking back at your posts 4 of your 9 posts have been abusive/aggressive towards people - nice one!)

Is $1500 too much for a Gn'R pinball machine, working fine and everything..?

Thats a great price. If I could find one that cheap I would grab it straight away. : ok:
Here's one that recently sold on ebay Australia for nearly AUS$4000.

Yeah even in the US that is a good price. Just look for any obvious broken plastics, wear on the playfield or cabinet.  Particularly look at the yellow G Ramp to make sure that it is not cracked around the trap door.  These are almost impossible to replace - when one does turn up on ebay it goes for around $400-$500USD.  (Although I do know of someone that is trying to remake them).

Also go and play it if you can, just to make sure all the different features etc are working.

Money well spent if you ask me ;)

I think it's pretty cheap, maybe some items are missing (manual, topboard and such).
