Its Guns N Roses, heres a topic that goes hand in hand.  I took 2 percacets, smoked good weed, tequilla filled flask and a steady stream of beer throughout the show.  Not to mention Vodka Red Bull's at the bar before the 2002 Chicago show.  The weed was really good.

lol, I just see some really retarded posts.  This post is twenty times more GnR then most posts.  I party when I go see this band.   Thats pretty emebeded in there legacy, huge fucking partiers.  Look at some picures of Axl on the photo submission part of the board.  I don't bite security guards after drinking tang.

I like having a few beers in me...enough to get me buzzed, but not enough to get in the way of enjoying the show. ?Maybe get 4 or 5 in me and that's enough. ?I go to concerts for the music, not to have some dipshit who took too many hits of acid tripping and flopping all over the place ruining it for me. ?At a cKy concert here in PA, some chick took a bunch of Ecstacy before the show and she eventually ended up passing out right on me in the area right in front of the stage. ?Her boyfriend just stood there looking dumbfounded while this bitch fell into my arms so I hoisted her up over my shouldars into a fireman's carry and fought my way through the kids attempting to mosh pit (at a fucking cky concert ha!) and then down a flight of stairs. ?It was cool because the band actually acknowledged it and Deron (the guy who sings) actually thanked me on the ask cky section of the website. ?Regardless, the chick was only like 16 and she shouldn't have been trying to be in that packed little club which was over booked, while taking x. ?Kids these days.

Going to a show, totally wasted, can be fun, when you are into that, I'm sure, but in the long run.....you have no idea what happened! ?

Smoking a little weed is one thing...but when you do a bunch of drugs that fuck your perception up or get shitfaced drunk, 99% of the time you're just being a douchebag and probably are being very annoying to the people around you. ?I've been to shows where some drunk fuck was just staggering all over the place and eventually tripped over the bands shit (in small bars mind you where the stage is the floor), but yeah.....if you get to that point, I'd rather just see somebody kick your ass and have you thrown out of the bar. ?Enjoy yourself, but remember to respect the fact that the other people around you paid money to go see a concert...not some asshole thinking they're cool.

I was so wasted at a Metallica concert I fell down the stairs and was left hanging upside down on the steps holding on to a rail for dear life, all well screaming for an encore...

I could remember GnR live in a coma. ?What a great show. ?Waiting in the lobby to see them. ?They actually did not start to late in Chicago 02. ?There was this guy in front of us on the floor seating. ?He kept yelling Guns N FN Roses over and over again. ?He did this all through out Mix Master Mike and CKY. ?He was so stupid bud drunk. ?He eventually about 15 minutes before GnR started got into a fight and got his ass kicked and thrown out. ?I was altered he was fucked up. ?He spent the night in cook county. ?I drove back home to Milwaukee with one eye closed. ?What a great show. ?

I could only imagine if I had a chance to see them in 06. ?They will be back I am not worried.

Saw a guy puke everywhere sometime around CKY at the Idaho show......dragged him out puking all over himself, and surely never saw the Guns.

When I was waiting on line at the first Hammerstein show there was this douche bag who was way fucked up. ? I don't know what drugs he might of had, if any, but he was definitely drunk and acting totally belligerent and was so fucked up that he never made it into the show. ?When the show was over he was waiting outside the doors for his friends lookin like a sorry ass fool. ?Moral - know your limits.

Yes you are right.  I learned the hard way, in 99 I was 17.  Someone spiked my drink with acid at a Rob Zombie show.  Plus I waited all day in line to meet the opening band Monster Magnet at the local record store.  We drank all afternoon.  I was thrown out of that show before zombie took stage.  I was young and I learned.  I stay sober at some shows.  I imagine if I saw guns more I would at a show.   

Had a jackass like that at the LV show, so drunk/high he could not hold himself up, and was using me/Mrs Punk to do the holding. I kept pushing the guy off me and he'd stumble away. Eventually he staggered off somewhere, and more than likely left. Man I wanted to punch that guy, but I didn't fly 7 hours to get kicked out of the joint.  :hihi:

at MSG in 2002 I was pretty hammered, drank 2.75 HUGE bud lights at Rosas pizzeria in pennstation.  i remember most of the show but it wasn't as clear to me as both of the hammersteins i went to (totally sober).  not that it mattered in 02, in the nosebleed seats you can't hear shit anyways.

i was blotto for the 06 MSG show as well (rosas got me again), but i didn't care b/c i had already seen that same show at both hammersteins ;)

i'd say i had great times sober and wasted, just different kinds of "great".  i do think the people that take WAY too much stuff though are probably ruining it for themselves, but to each their own.  so long as you're not bugging me or my friends i don't care what you do.

I had A beer at the Chicago show.  I'm sure I could have had many more and sobered up, but with a 2.5 hour drive home, and getting in at 4:30, I didn't want to chance it.

I really don't like being drunk at shows.  I drank too much at Roger Waters, last year, and find that I don't have as good a memory of the show as I'd like (still stellar, though).   

When I saw Guns in Toronto during the 2002 tour, I was so fucked up. I didn't mind because I was seated anyhow. Smoked lots of buds, and drank my face off, from noon, till show time ;D
When the band took the stage and the first notes of Jungle started, I sobered up. Only to feel it again afterwards.
In 2006, they came back to Toronto, and I went with a few friends that got really drunk while waiting in line outside. I stayed sober. Front row, I wanted to be sober for that.

I had 10th row tickets to see Guns at MSG in Dec 1991.  All I remember is them opening with Nightrain and being the only guy standing on my chair during Double Talkin Jive; the rest is a complete blank.   Can't throw your arms around a memory?  Bullshit.  Not remembering sucks.  Keep the smokin', snortin', shootin', suckin', tokin', poppin' and droppin' to a minimum.

A big fat one is a necessity. A little alcohol is also usefull if you're planning on the moshpit.

I've never been a big fan of getting wasted at show... but unfortunately for me I decided to break my own rule at New York on 5-14 and drink as many of the Combo Beer/Shot specials that they were selling... real bad idea, the whole concert was a blur...

Bourbon is my drink of choice. But at a gig your paying around $9 for a 300ml can. So If I am planing on gettin on it at a show, I always drink a half carton of Woodstock before I get there.

I think bourbon and cola (sold as one product) had a short run a few years back, in the US, but I don't know that it's around anymore.  I never tried it.  I can make my own (and regularly do) for cheaper, with better products.  Not familiar with bourbon and "dry," unless that's another way to describe a manhattan, which I can't imagine would be good out of a can.  :hihi:

before l went to see G'N'R in Glasgow 06, me and my dad popped into this little pub across form the train station for a quick drink, we junped on the Glasgow train went to the SECC walked into the building ordered a few pints of Lager and waited to get into the Venue, we got in by the time Bullet For My Valentine got onstage l was pissed , there was this guy in front of me shoving and hitting people in the crowd, l punched him in the back of the head he fel down my dad and this other guy picked him up and started beating him up, eveyone crowd surfed him to the security and he got chucked out, all in all it was a good night ;D , l was drinkign lager and smoking cigs, don't do drugs or any of that shit :yes:

We have in cans, Jim, Jack, Woodstock, Real Macoy, Slate, and a bunch of others. The bourbon N' dry is just dry ginger ale. But Jack Daniels came out with Bourbon N' Colo, dry, Lemonade.

I'm not aware of having EVER seen Bourbon and ginger ale.  Like I said, we did have bourbon and cola, but I'm not certain if it's still around.  There were a bunch of little bottles of Jack drinks.  "Lynchburg Lemonade" was one, I recall.  But I don't think I've ever noticed them at a stadium/arena before.  It's mostly (bad) beer, and a few WAY overpriced mixed drinks.

Most of the cans were 375ml but now alot of the Bourbon and cola cans are 440ml. But at concerts they are usually 300ml for the price of a 440ml. At alot of sporting events you can get 375ml bourbon but its mid-strength so it aint woth the cash.
Can ya get cans of bourbon at a pub or club over there?

I've honestly no idea.  You can get the girly "malt beverages" like Zima and Smirnoff Ice, so maybe you can get the bourbon cans, too.  Whenever I order a bourbon and coke, they make it behind the bar.

I dunno.  I'm not aware of seeing many alcoholic beverages sold in cans OTHER than beer and various malt liquors.  As you know, we Americans are a violent bunch, and glass bottles simply make for better weapons!  :hihi:

Estasy is great for concerts.

The best way to enjoy a concert is to have a few drinks, get a nice buzz on beforehand and then either take a few hits of a joint once the show starts, or drink moderately throughout -

I used to drink about a quart of 101 and shoot a quarter gram of good heroin , but now I try very hard not to use any drugs other than nicotine and caffine . When I finally got clean , it was weird ; kind of like I was high when I was clean .
