Title: Re: Psychology and psychiatry Post by: Mr. Dick Purple on May 31, 2007, 10:17:45 PM I've never been a fan of pills and stuff but my father had a huge depression a couple of years ago and he couldn't even get up from bed it was horrible, but he's better now i think the pills he got was too harsh I don't like the psychiatrist at least the psychologist makes you talk and take out all the anger you feel or all the feelings you need to get out.

In a way, it helped me, and in another, it's made me worse, because some now issues weren't issues at all and i have come to overthink and overanalyse my life. Also, i can't stand this mentality when they think they can help and save everyone. I do prefer psychologists too, ebcause they do make you talk and there is a verbal exchange, whereas psychiatrists seem like dead fishes staring at you. But then, psychiatrits in france have had years of training whereas almost anyone can become a psychologist... Medication talk aside, i am wondering how therapy really helps. Because in the end, you tell someone what you want, and even i nthe most honest of situations, talking can't take away hurt or pain. And in the most dishonest, the shrink is getting completely fooled. And i found out shrinks think they cant get fooled but i saw some people do it. And i find it very annoying. |
