Quote
But it seems like these people are protesting the war, not protesting the troops.

I don't see the difference. Aid and comfort to the enemy is when you do it through media and there are big headlines like "We've Lost the War" and things like that. What makes you think that any graduate of any madrassa in the Middle East doesn't blow that up? In other words, make a big copy of it and show it to everybody.

Righttttttt....

Asshole.

Well of course Gene would say something like that.  He was born in Israel.  And for as long as the US Military is off blowing up Arabs, most Israelis would bow down and kiss the feet of the US Military.

the second world war wasnt handled well before d-day gene because the country you live in wouldnt join in and help the small island of england take on all of nazi europe until it was on its last legs.

uk was not the only country at war ... i believe a country called *russia* played a role too ...
anyway, i'm sick of these debates anyway.

russia at the time was a huge country with ALOT of people.

im sure the most of europe vs england, is a bit more risky than it vs russia....

However i am aware of there struggles against the nazi's and i am aware the nazis used to make sure no food supplies or anything got to the people in the villages, starving them to death to try and gain a victory.

However, i cant remember where i read it, but wasnt russia on the same side as germany in the early days of the war?

Russia did not join the war on the Allied side untill the third week of June in 41 . Until that time it was a member of the Axis . The Molotov-Ribbentrop (sp?) Non Agression Pack of '39 is what instigated the war by dividing up Poland .

P.S. I know there were a lot of complex reasons for the war going back to the Franco-Prussian War of the 1870s ; I was just generalizing .

back on topic : Yeah , the guy is an ignorant fool .
