I was really hoping that someone would try and correct me. Sources say that Poland's population was 36 million in 1939, including 3 million Jews, and was reduced to 24 million in 1946, immediately after the war.
Now if I do some calculations 36 - 24 = 12. 12 million people went missing. Some Poles found themselves in neighbouring countries......but many perished. Get the picture. Title: Re: My Apologies From Stolat Post by: fuckin crazy on May 15, 2007, 06:51:11 AM Very few people outside of Poland , other than history buffs or academic types would know the significance of the Katyn forest or the Warsaw Ghetto , however I think everyone recconises the brave struggle and horrible sacrifices the Polish people made in that terrible time .
