It seems like to me, that CD will get a fall release or early next year release, and i can't wait, but if you could have a surprise on Chinese Democracy, what would it be?

There should be included: an autograph, a handwritten explanation from Axl himself why it took so long, a T-Shirt, a Bonus DVD: "The Making of CD: The best of 10 years+), a free ticket to a concert that shall not be canceled, a guitar pick from Robin Finck and a free Ringtone from Chris Pitman and as special bonus the booklet: "Waiting for the sucessor of CD, how do I prepare for it?"

But seriously: I would be more than please if that damn album would finally be released without any extras, just the CD, hell I`d even download it from crappy Itunes.... But then again it would also be a very nice surprise if the rumours were true and CD is indeed 3 CDs.... No but I shall not be greedy; one released CD is enough for me ;D ;D

well, anything they add to the 13 tracks said to be on it.

I'd be surprised if it came out this year, that would be good enough.  :)

A live DVD would be awesome.  Maybe they could release it as one of those two sided discs (DVD on side and CD the other side).

I think the surprise could be a scratch card contest, a contest per country, and each country's winner gets to have a coffee with axl rose ?

Nothing would surprise me at this point. It could be a 15-cd album with a complimentary Real Doll and I'd still mortgage my life to buy it.

Honestly, I don't think I can wait another year. ?I would love a bonus live dvd though, that would kick ass!

Especially for those who were lucky enough to be there...I get the feeling that - if and when the DVD footage is relesed - it will be a separate DVD and definitely not a "freebie" with the CD.

Being perfectly honest I just want the CD. No features, no DVD, no poorly edited "Making Of" footage, no special fancy box and 76 page booklet etc.

Just a jewel case, the CD and my receipt  8)

Best surprise possible would be that it is at least a double disc, 22 or more brand spankin' new GNR tracks.

Stadium Arcadium is by far the best thing released in the past 2 years.

I agree.  It would also be a pleasant, mild surprise, if all Buckethead's work remained on the album.  Also if we got like 10 brand new songs that haven't been heard of or played live prior to the album's release

Now seriously:
I am not so much into all these extras, but from a marketing point of view it would be a good idea. In times of all these "downloading motherfuckers" it would help CD sales if maybe a dvd would be included, or a rebate voucher for a concert ticket, a competition where you can win some cool stuff, or free membership of the "official" fan club, if they ever think about such a thing...

Okay, fine.  I'll take the $15-20 off a concert ticket voucher  8)

well, A live DVD would be pretty nice, maybe of one of the Hammerstien(?) shows in NYC.  and i wouldn't mind a few $$ off of a concert ticket.  i spent $75 to stand in the pit in Baltimore.  Great time, but a bit pricey (like most concerts now a days). 



but of course, all anyone really wants is just for the album to come out.

I'd be surprised if it never contained any of the songs we heard so far, but 13 totally new tracks.

I think that would be a pleasant surprise.

After all the bullshit. It sould be a 2cd album. And on the same day a live dvd from NYC 2006 shows....And on both cds it should have a behind the secnes look at making the album.  :beer: i think anything else would be a let down at this point.

There will be no surprises, it's an album. And that's it. That's how I like it : ok: If they want to release a DVD, they can release it as a separate disc.

A big surprise would be to open the CD and find there?s no cd in it :hihi:

When I get the album I won't be surprised if its taken back off me and they all get recalled because one of the tracks vocals weren't perfect..he he...sorry Axl

i would like to see it released in various formats.
like there would just be a regular cd version then there could be a box-set with lots of diffedrent versions of each track, as im sure there are loads around and un-used album tracks would also be great as would a dvd.
 i would gladly part with alot more cash to get somethin like that

Maybe they could release the album with a cover design that comes in different colors.

On a serious note, a "making of CD" documentatory on there, where the band spend say 30-45 minutes talking about the issues they had recording it.

The first new guns concert to be included with it, aka the HOB '01.  That would give a big middle finger to all the hoarding mother fuckers out there, and just be damn cool to see too.

Other than that, i'd like some old style guns music on it along with the new stuff, and I'd be happy.  Maybe demos from the '96 sessions?

Yeah, sure have.  In fact, had a nostalgia session only a couple of days ago and played my vinyl copy of Live Era and a few of the 12" singles, along with some Skid Row and Quireboys stuff.  Made the memories come flooding back...   ;D

I think it will be a bonus dvd ...very common these days ...... a dvd with some live songs from the 06 tour .......
maybe some soundcheck stuff .... inteview .. who knows? ..... it would be cool ........ time will tell ...

I'd like to see some re-recordings of the "old" material from the original line-up by the current line-up on the album.

as much as that would be interesting... i hope they dont. seriously. the media would tear them apart saying the old stuff shouldnt be touched (which it shouldnt) and god knows what else.

releasing their own, original material is the only way to go for now.

I still  think it  would be cool to have the re-recorded AFD as a bonus CD, the same thing that was implied  back in 2002.

what would make sense is a delux package in a fancy box, with a DVD of live songs (probably all the new material), an interview, music videos and bonus audio such as unreleased versions of mixes. That seems to be the standard.

The GN'R classics are just that.......classics.

The new members re-recordiing these classics are not going to make them better. This lineup needs to define themselves by releasing their own material, not by re-recording material that was written by Slash, Izzy, and Duff.

If you want to hear this band play AFD, go and catch a live show. Chinese Democracy needs to be something completely original.

I'll stick with my first post since joining and that is 3 c.d.s in 2 years.  2 new and 1 live and there may be a dvd too.  Being realistic I just hope for one and that would be fine.
