Title: Help with reducing file size? Post by: Red1 on May 08, 2007, 05:21:39 PM I've got a video that is 220mb that I wanna upload to youtube (which has a 100mb limit). It is a .mov file and I either need to split it into smaller parts or shrink the file size.

Both programs are free. Title: Re: Help with reducing file size? Post by: nyd on May 10, 2007, 12:21:59 AM If you have Windows XP - buried somewhere on the Start Menu is Windows Movie Maker.
Open Movie Maker -> then select "Import Into Collections" and select the video that you need to shrink the size of. Drag this video onto the timeline. On the main menu go to File -> Save Movie (might be called Export Movie) You are then able to set what size you want the video to be in Mb. Sorry it isnt a detailed guide but the program is self explanatory really, and you might not even have XP. Title: Re: Help with reducing file size?
