Here Axl says, in 2001, that Paul worked underground for the last 7 years and without him there "would be NO more Guns N' Roses"..

So he was there then, and since has seemingly dissapeared.  ANY info on his whereabouts or current situation within the band?

that's why the album isnt finished.
Paul is not there.
pittman just couldnt handle all the work alone. hence the delays.

He doesn't like touring. So after 01 ?he departed.

Saying there'd be no more guns without Tobias and here we are in 2007, and Tobias isn't in GnR anymore.

He was saying that Paul kept the band together thru some extremely tough times.   Paul left the band once it was time to tour, because he never wanted to be in the touring band.   

The way I see it, Paul stuck by the band as long as Axl needed him too.   Once things were more in place, Paul stepped back and they got Richard.   And who knows what level of involvment he still has with the band.

latest rumours/info: tobias is working on soundtrack music. tobias is working on new mank RAGE material with mickler and lank. tobias is re-mastering some more mank RAGE demos. tobias is giving lank a hand with lank's solo project. tobias is alive and kickin'.

Paul Tobais is synonymous with GNR.  I mean you hear Paul Tobais you always think SFTD, GNR 1994, atleast I do.

Paul is now doing yard work for Axl.

Besides being a guitarist,Tobias is an accomplished pianist...Rumour has it, Lank is working on melodies and lyrics for a few of Tobias' piano pieces.

His guitar work on the Mank Rage stuff is awesome. The lead in 'Makes no sense' really kicks ass. There is also some great stuff on 'Humblesong'. I think Paul is in Iraq as we speak. He is working things out for us all. :peace:

I assume Paul and Ron will be playing most of the rhythm parts on CD.

Paul moved to Southeast China and is now learning to be a Sage while living the Tao according to Lao Tzu. His guitar is no longer of use.... He's in a better place now
