Title: Mystery Guns show, Nighttrain. Post by: SirTed on April 23, 2007, 08:00:51 PM Hey I have a question for all you Gunners out there.
Below is a link to a youtube video of Guns performing Nighttrain. Actually all it is is Buckethead's solo for the song. But it's a blistering one. And while I've been recently picking up a few shows here and there, I am by no means an expert (esspecially on 2001 ed.) Guns. Can anybody tell me which show this is, and if someone felt like doing a stranger a big favor, does anybody have a copy of it. It doesnt have to be video. I just want to be able to listen to it away from my computer basically. Thank you in advance to anyone who helps me out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D903ScEsnHA Title: Re: Mystery Guns show, Nighttrain. Quite a cool comparison. That def isn't Slash at his best, but i still like his more. Quicker isn't better, and Slash's just fits the song. Title: Re: Mystery Guns show, Nighttrain. Post by: Aero on April 26, 2007, 01:38:54 PM axl having 3 guitar players should be an honor to slash.......... What a lot of stupidity... Appetite for destruction has 3 guitar tracks per song, some songs has more. To have 3 guitarrists is to play live closer to the studio versions, even slash's era ;) I love slash, but please don't talk bullshit, there are no 3 guitar players to cover slash's live guitars. My two cents on the whole old/ new, Buckethead/Slash thing is this. I had no idea who Buckethead was when I heard he had joined the band, and when I saw them at the VMA's for the first time, while I was incredibly pumped to see Axl, I hated the look of the band and the direction that I had percieved them going. I had heard songs like "oh my god" and "silk worms" and pretty much hated them. Axl sounded like crap and he had all these weirdo's out on stage with him. The songs sounded like there was too much of a techno influence. I think that the 2006-07 version of the band from what I can tell is a little more polished, they are a little closer to their rock roots, Axl sounds way better and the band is just more apealing to look at. And before anyone scoffs at that, realize that what I want is for the band to be a success, so that it will hopefully lead to more tours, more music, all the good stuff. Thats what we all want right? Right. All that said, Buckethead's solo on Nighttrain, at least that night, will melt your face. |
