Naw. ?I'm pretty sure this show will go on, as will the tour. ?There's really no reason why we should beleive otherwise.

I would say that I would not be suprised if Tommy Stinson doesn't play at the show, though. ?It just seems like something that could happen.

BS.

GN'R will appear. Many hear think that GnR cancel gigs for fun. This was perhaps done in the past, but not anymore nowadays. In 2006 the band was very reliable and this will not have changed.

Sounds like you all just follow GN'R news. You may not know it, but other bands cancel concerts too. I wouldn't think too much about GN'R cancelling a show here or there, they are all humans right? Incubus just rescheduled some shows and NIN have done the same during the Beside You In Time/With Teeth tour.

Tommy is probably gonna show up with a bruised eye and nervously tell people that he walked... into a door, while getting the evil eye from Axl.

Naw, they will show up!

They'll be there but I'd go with 50/50 odds on Tommy playing.

I can see Tommy not playing and a huge debate going on around here about why they didn't play the Japan shows without him.

Tommy shouldn't play at all on this leg, hopefully they've been rehearsing with someone else for the last couple of weeks. The last thing they need is to have Tommy re-injure himself playing the cokefest shows and have the touring schedule further screwed up.

I could see Tommy playing, them announcing a date, cover art and tracklist for the album and there STILL being a big debate on this board. Lol.

Just kidding, I agree with you though, I don't think Tommy will be there and yes, I believe a giant debate will erupt over it.

Actually, I see a giant debate no matter if Tommy plays or not.  If he doesn't play, people are going to say "why didn't they just use the replacement for the Japan shows".  If he does play, people are going to say "his hand can't be too bad if he's playing so soon after he got injured.  They should have played Japan".

They should just have one of the 3 guitarists play bass.   :D

Isn't this surreal?

I love being a GNR fan.  No other band's fans get to bond like this... gathering on the internet to debate if concerts will actually happen.

I'm tellin' ya, those other clowns don't know what they're missin'.

It really depends on the severity of the injury to Tommy. If it is just a sprain or  bruise, he will  be ok. If it is ligament damage, then he won't be playing for a while. No South Africa.

But I hope the show  goes  on!

Damn you guys.. and what were the odds..
Looks like Tommy's injury is more severe than assumed
Who knows how long it will take for this injury to heal so he can comfortably play bass

A sprained wrist is a really nasty injury to get for anyone, even more so for anyone who plays an instrument/sport as the wrist is prone to both overuse injury and repetitive strain injury - the irony being that the rehab exercises are usually repetitive wrist rolls and curls. Two weeks isn't an unreasonable amount of time to allow for recuperation but it's really easy to re-injure the weak wrist, so it could take a lot longer.

Not to sound too negative, but when was the last time GNR still did a show after it was reported to be cancelled/postponed?
