Title: New Silverchair Post by: maynard on April 18, 2007, 03:55:49 AM I completely forgot about this band and they just released a new album "Young Modern". I must say I'm impressed, it's a beautiful album, a "happy" album... I don't know, many songs just make me happy and optimistic. It's the kind of album I enjoy, it's complex, it's anti pop, it's overproduced, it's hard to say it's the same band who made "Freak" or "Anthem for the Year 2000".

I thought freak show was a good album. it's a little diffrent then frostomp. but not as much as Neon Ballroom. Title: Re: New Silverchair Post by: bazgnr on August 09, 2007, 05:30:07 PM Having listened to Young Modern a good number of times now, I have to say that I'm very pleasantly surprised. I thought Diorama was a great album, and - to be honest - thought Young Modern was really pushing the limits. It also got a great review from David Fricke in the new Rolling Stone, which I wasn't expecting at all. Very different, but certainly worth a listen.
