Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Well, as you may know, Velvet Revolver (as well as Aerosmith, Evanescence and some other local bands) will be performing at the argentine ''Quilmes Rock Festival'' next sunday (16th)

The whole festival, which has 5 dates, will be broadcasted live. I am watching the festival right now, and of course I'm watching an outstanding pro-shot with an almost perfect audio quality.

This is a tutorial to record the show. I already tested it with a local band called ''Catupecu Machu'', and it works perfectly.

Then, I'll provide links to software that will be useful to encode the resulting recorded files (ASF, at least in this particular case of the Quilmes Rock Festival stream)

Remember that this only applies to the FIRST of the two show in Argentina, at the River Plate Stadium (Quimes Rock Festival) and NOT for the second (at the Pepsi Music Stadium)

Firstly, you need to install this software, which will record the audio/video stream

1) Install the program
2) Start WMP (or the soft you want to use) and play the stream
3) Open WM Recorder
4) The program will automatically start recording the stream (its in ''auto'' mode by default)

The resulting files will be stored, by default, here:

C:\Program Files\WMR11\Recordings

Both audio and video (depending on what you want to record) will be stored in ASF format (at least, with this festival's stream).

For example, today was (still is) the first date of five from the Quilmes Rock Festival. And it was broacasted in its entirety, until now. Only one band left for tonight. Until now, 6 hours (5PM - 11PM) of a live pro-shot broadcast.

No problems to get the audio but I don't see the vid?o.... :no:

It's not a firewall / proxy problem, i think, but I hope it's not because I live in France I can't get it.... ::)

Yeah, it has to be 'cause you're French :hihi: Just kidding. My video stream worked for a moment but then I lost the connection and didn't get it back.. only audio works for me now. I've tried WMP, VLC, QT and RealP.

well today the webcast doesnt start until 7pm (eastern time) so if you try and watch it before that time, you will get an error.

VR goes on at 8pm Eastern
Aerosmith goes on at 9:40 eastern

VR plays for 1hr 10min
Aerosmith plays for 1hr 50min

Could someone record concert of aerosmith?? Because I live in Poland and they will play at 4am (polish time). thanks :beer:

i like all the chorus's of those songs, they are catchy, but idunno, the rest of the songs dont do much for me, its scotts voice, its so shit live.
