Because anytime the band has anything to say it gets sent to Jarmo to post first. So if it was someone acting on GNR's behalf then they would come here to ask the questions. Afterall, the presales etc were all on the site too, not mygnr.

They are setting up an official message board at gunsnroses.com - They just PM'ed me back after I asked if they would be posting here.

Over at MyGNRForum.com, GN'R's new management is posting messages. The latest one says that an official message board will soon be available at gunsnroses.com, and that we should keep checking back regularly to see if it's up.

They're finally listening to the fans, too, by making polls and reporting the answers back to the band I guess. About time!  ;D

I don't think it's fake, simply because the username Guns N' Roses has been reserved and unavailable since the forum went online; he must have had to prove to the admin there that he was legit before they gave it to him.

The question is do we really need another forum where people can argue about why the album isn't out? How bout they spend some time by updating their site with actual tour dates, a discography with lyrics to the songs, a history of the band. You know, stuff that is actually important. ::)

I'd expect that the mods would take some steps for verification too, rather than a "mass delete" (that would never happen).   So it'll take time.  Due diligence.

After 13 million dollars and working on this album for over 10 years i would say axl and the band are pretty confident about this album. Assuming of course this is legit. They just want feedback.

I don't think its real.  I could be wrong, but if it were real, it would make alot more sense to post that on HTGTH, then another fan site.  All of the pre-sales were done through HTGTH, so management requesting fan info would make sense on this board, not another.  But its my opinion so who knows.

A forum on the official site would be pretty cool though.

Yet, you simply state "this is not from GN'R" and we are suppose to believe you?  What proof do you have?  If you contacted the band, or whoever is "official" that you contact, can't we see some sort of image or transcription of the messages exchanged?  I don't understand how you can say something without any proof or evidence and people are just suppose to automatically believe just because you run a fan message board....no cut down, just pointing it out.

What I want to know is, if this username was supposedly "held", than doesn't that mean the admins of MyGNR had to know the whole time what was going on? I'm guessing the username was never held at all, or possibly they forgot to "re-hold" it after the Boon Brothers incident last year. Either way, it's a shame this had to happen. Just proves once and again though, if it's not from htgth, don't hold your breath!
