Here Today... Gone To Hell!

i think this band should have their own thread. i have extreme behavior and i cant stop listening to it, it kicks ass!! i think hinder's a very 'under the radar' band and should get more recognition, but anyway, i heard they recently released a walmart cd with a cover of bon jovi's "bed of roses" and eddie money's "take me home tonight." Since i have the album already, i was wondering if anyone knew where i could download those 2 covers. i have no problem buying them but i cant find them on itunes, if anyone knows i'd appreciate it!!

i saw them on TV, claiming to be all rock n roll and how they think the modern music scene is boring blah blah bomb loads of bands have said this before them this decade, except those bands do play party anthems and good time rock n roll, hinder claim to play that, i checked them out they sound like bloody nickleback!

If i hear that fucking 'lips of an angel' song once more i have a mind to execute the whole band.... pathetic trash....

I usually try to avoid posting negative stuff about bands I don't care for, as I'd much rather spend my energy discussing stuff about bands I do like, but I agree, if I hear that godawful 'lips of an angel' song one more time... :nervous: :confused: >:(

I suppose I should say good on them for supposedly trying to be a rock n roll band or whatever they claim to be, but they just look and sound like they're trying waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too hard.

They're basically Nickelback on Red Bull.  Horrible, crappy, sappy douchebag rock at it's finest.  "I love you girl, I love you so much, but all these problems we have, I don't understand why you don't love me, because I want to hold you and I miss you....yadda yadda yadda"

I certainly agree with you, there.  But, I think we (meaning lovers of REAL rock n' roll) have a tendency to overrate any band that comes along and attempts to play the music we love.  Examples abound:

Jet
---they're from Australia, and they have some good rock songs, so they're the NEXT AC/DC!  ::)

Wolfmother
---they try to mimic Zeppelin, but really lack the songwriting skills to do so effectively

And so on...

Hinder seems to be the record industry's latest fresh rock band.

They are OK, but we've had a lot of ok bands lately, It would be nice to hear something great for a change.

Nobody can ever match what AC/DC did :smoking:  Wolfmother are better than Jet IMO.
As for hinder they aren't what they claim to be but maybe they can improve and finally start playing some rock n' roll  :yes:

Heard the full album a few days ago and thought it was pretty poor.

Ok so i am like a huge GNR fan.  Im not too crazy about their new stuff, its missing something.  Obviously the guitar riffs that slash has and velvet revolver obviously misses melody that axl has.  But if any one is a GNR fan, Im telling you to listen to HINDER.  This song they have almost sounds like sweet child o' mine.  Listen for yourself.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdQwOICv5fE

And the lyrics remind me of Izzy's writing.  Why can't guns get back to sounding like this.  BTW Hinder said they were heavily influenced by Guns!  Go Figure!!!!

I like Hinder, and I don't mind some Nickleback (the older stuff was better) But, and this isn't meant to be offensive to anyone, but I beleive peoplt that say they just hate these bands (and I mean really hate, like some of your comments) are just trying to sound cool and intellegent. Are they a great, groundbreaking band? hell no, just take them for what it's worth, a rock band making tunes that are sure a hell of a lot better than most of the crap out today. Hell, anyone hear AC/DC's new tune?  I LOVE AC/DC....but thats one lame ass boring song.

Lets get something straight, i like Nickelback, including the new stuff.
My issue with the band (Hinder) is.
When they first broke through in the UK charts. They were interviewed, they were cocky and had big egos and claimed how they were doing the party rock thing with the influence from all the old bands.

So i listen to the album, and it sounds like a Post Grunge album. Thats not me trying to sound intelligent or cool, thats me stating the facts. The album was shit it wasnt rock n roll at all, and wasnt even good post grunge sounding stuff like Nickelback.

BUT

The new single (use me), is what i expected from them originally, that is an improvement

I had never heard of this band, so I did a google search to see what they look like (you know, surface is everything) and they look like a rock n' roll band that, err, got dressed at Topman. Or at least shop there (although, come on now, don't we all... But not for everything!).

Next, I gave the above youtube link a listen. And now I really don't know what to say. Do people actually listen to this stuff? Out of choice? The singer was awful!, how people can listen to a band with a singer that bland sure beats me. If was going to go on, I'd mention the lyrics next...

But you get the idea.

I just heard the new album and is damn good, I though most GN'R fans like myself would have love this band but there are too many of you guys that don't like them... weird.

Well my favorite song so far is loaded and alone what a great rock song...

They could be an excellent band to open for GN'R. 

If there is a Gawd, this will never happen.

The new album had some alright party rock tunes.  But it was pretty poser of them to go from Nickelback wannabes to Slaughter wannabes overnight.

That being said, the track "Up All Night"  (Hinders Up All Night...) is damn fun.

My issue with Hinder is they have more power ballads on their albums than an Aerosmith greatest hits package.

when did i say they were "awesome". I said the latest album was alright. The first album was shit.

So I googled the word "poseur" and was redirected to Hinder's official website.  Not really but you get the point.  They are  fucking lame, boring, fake, phony, cliche, stock, talentless, clowns, the fact that they say Guns N Roses and Motley Crue are their influences is a joke.  GNR and Motley should be able to sue them for defamation of character for that...
