Either they have some fans voting multiple times or one fan wrote a script to vote multiple times because this morning I checked the website and gnr was still up 73% to 27% with about 3800 votes.  Then an hour later tool is up and over 6000 votes.

Time to vote by the truck load.  Voting goes till Midnight Sunday cst.  With the championship voting all day Monday.  Winner announced Tuesday.

The cool thing is the station has been playing a song from all 4 final four bands every other hour.  Been hearing alot of guns on the tube.  Awesome!

There is obviously a script running for Tool.  Compare the amount of votes from the ACDC/Metallica poll and the GnR/Tool poll.

Netrix, if I'm not mistaken you can right-click on that page and have Firefox reload it every 1 second if you customize the auto-refresh option. That's what I'm doing plus your solution from MYGNR. It's adding a vote from me every second.

For anyone who needs help with this, here is Netrix's solution:

1) clear your cookies by clicking clear private date making sure cookies is checked to be cleared.
2) then goto into settings -> privacy - cookies and add an exception for website http://www.957therock.com/ and set it to block cookies for this website
3) Then paste this url in address bar: http://www.957therock.com/promo/index.php?...p;poll_ident=62. Vote for GN'R.
4) now right-click on the page and tell it to Reload Every > Custom > 0 minutes, 1 second

You can open multiple tabs and run this all night. That's what I'm going to do.

I don't know Wooody.  Last night I saw we were up 57 to 43, I go to watch a movie, and it completely reversed in a very short period of time.  All's fair in love and war, and this just happens to be both.   :)  Go Guns!   :peace: 

PS  There are almost 70,000 votes in the GNR vs. Tool matchup whereas the Metallica vs. AC/DC matchup has a little over 8,200 votes total.   :hihi:

I think it's midnight tonight.  Seriously, in the past 10 minutes, the lead went from 85-15 to 79-21.  Tool votes are adding up.

The lead for GNR is disappearing.  GNR's share went from 86% a little while ago to 69%.  With 8 1/2 hours left to vote, we've got to get it going.   :nervous:

Chill out man. It's just me. I had GNR's lead up to around 89%. Someone in this thread made the point that if GN'R wins by TOO MUCH, they could get disqualified because the station will notice that it's been hacked. I've currently got 5 votes per second running for Tool. I plan to STOP once it gets to around 58-42 or 55-45 in favor of Guns.

Technically I wasn't using a bot to be honest. It was just Firefox with like 10 tabs open refreshing automatically every second without cookies enabled. So I was getting around 10 votes per second. LOL.

This round ends in just under 6 hours, 12:00 cst.


tool is catching up fast.  We just got to watch the gap and if they get back in control, got to do the part to make sure GNR takes on Metallica in the finals...

I'd feel more content is the result was along the line of the 60% 40% that AC/DC Metallica have going.  After watching Too, jump ahead late last night 56% to 44% I'd hate to see that happen again right before voting closes.

By the way, I was listening to the station today and the djs were just floored with the amounts of votes on this one.  It was fn hilarious.  The cool part as I saud earlier is they're playing Guns every other hour.    :smoking:

In two hours, there has been more 3000 votes, and a leveling off of GNR's lead...it was 99% for GNR two hours ago....3000 votes and 2 hours later, its 53 to 47....

either AC/DC fan is doing the script thing, or a GNR fan is doing it to make it look legit.

EDIT: I just tested it and they do have a reset going on for when it gets too out of balance. I got it up to around 64-36 and it reset to 50-50.

I just got it up to 59.2-40.8. Let's see if they leave it alone this time. LOL.

OK, whoever is running that site is biased towards AC/DC. They didn't seem to mind when I saved AC/DC from losing last night. They were down 60-40 against Metallica and I ran Firefox on auto-refresh until AC/DC had around a 63-37 lead. They didn't mind then, but now that it's the other way around they're jacking with the votes and taking some off to make it purposely close.

I can't think of a more dignified reason for being banned! A martyr!

They announced this morning that GNR won.  You could tell they weren't happy about Metallica not winning  it all.  Seemed like they wanted it rigged but GNR fans worldwide decided otherwise.

Funny enough they commented that instead of working on Chinese Democracy Axl was online voting over and over again so GNR would win.

A little extra publicity for the band in your town or mine is never a bad thing...

They actually had it rigged in favor of AC/DC. As soon as the votes got above like 58% for GN'R, they kept resetting the poll to 50-50. But eventually they left it alone and GN'R won like 57-43 or somewhere in that range.
