HAvnt they played Maddy Live? We have been able to tlak about Madagascar,CD etc since friggen 2000.

I agree with the stance on the negative bashers and posting links/requests. But to not be able to talk about it here with all the other fans sucks, I was looking forward to hearing everyones opinions and discussing. I've had a bit of a break from the board and came back and the place seems so much more quieter. It just seems a bit toooo much.

I got a negative karma for mentioning this in the what are you listening to thread. I read the rules for an update and it didn't say I'm not allowed to say I'm listening to Madagascar. In fact (and please let me know if I have missed something) but it doesn't say anything about discussing the songs. Anyway D mentioned that I can't mention I'm listening to it and discuss, and I mentioned what a shame it's come to that. Post in that thread deleted and negative Karma. Maybe it was for discussing in wrong section? Once upon a time a 'get in the right section' reminder would have been suffice. It just seems too much.

This is a private board and at the end of the day, jarmo can do what he likes.. but I really hope the admin can see that it appears to be driving some really good posters with good discussion away and onto other forums. Hope the moderation can ease up a bit.

What i don't understand is why the rules have changed for this particular leak.

Leaking of tracks, requesting leaks, sharing them has always been banned on here.

But with previous leaks we had discussion threads where talk/opinions about the leaks was allowed.

^^  I agree with what you guys said.  I am definitely one of the many who has decided to stop spending the majority of my gnr time on this board.  I've signed up over at RosesofVelvet, and alot of people that are there are previously from this board.  And almost all of them have left because of what this thread is about.  I used to love coming to this board, but now I come here and I see no discussion about the Maddy leak, but yet there is a thread about Axl's clothing and god knows how many "do ya think?" or "what if" threads.  WTF?  That is a damn shame.

I had to do something drastic because people refused to respect the rules we have.



That doesn't mean this was a final solution for the problem. It's just something temporary for a while.

The Madagascar thread will be opened again for discussion. I just need to know that it won't be swamped with links and requests.

I admit I have been guilty here lately of being negative. One of my friends on here opened my eyes though and made me realize the error of my ways.


I think we all forget that these leaks aren't intended to be heard which is why they can't be discussed. Once the album is released, that is when we will get to post our hearts out about what we hear.


So I can see Jarmo and GNR's point.  I think we all forget that we are hardcore fans and to us  the world revolves around GNR but to casual fans and non fans it doesn't and anything less than a  finished  product may make a bad first impression on those who are probably already skeptical and Axl doesn't want his work to be judged unfairly.

I absolutely 100 percent agree with that.


Things is, Hearing that song was great for me cause it reminded me that this wait has been worth it and that Chinese Democracy is gonna be even more incredible than I thought.  Hearing it also helped me further accept the new members as GNR.

Yes defintly, but with this traffic the mods would have to spend all day editing out requests and links to leaks
