Without a doubt. Japan looks forward to GNR coming to play and I think Japan will always sell out shows.

I paid about 80,000 yen for a Japanese band's concert. J-Rock/J-Pop dominate the charts in Japan but there is a large following for foreign bands.

I met a few Japanese GNR fans, and I suspect the dates will be sold out or close to it... I really wish they had added a Sapporo date though. It's a great town, over a million people, and no way anyone's making the trip down to Tokyo/Chiba from there...

yeah the travel must be expensive too. Still I think some fans dare make the trip.

Sapporo is an awesome city... and one of the few cities in Japan built on the grid system, as it's a rather modern city and had some western engineers involved in its construction... which makes it a lot easier to navigate than the rest of Japan.

I actually wandered through Susukino there ;) (infamous red-light district)... mostly stuck to the normal areas though. ;)

Travel in Japan is expensive if you want to get anywhere FAST. Local trains and ferries are cheap, but they're slow as hell. The bullet train is the way to go but you could easily be paying in excess of 100$ one way.

I hear Kyoto was built on the grid system too. I only know sapporo for its snow and skiing events.

No doubt about it yes! I think it has been a long time since they were there and Japan appreciates GNR music and it will be packed, unlike America.

Not to be a troll but this is posted like a page back, and you ask a question and then give a definitive answer, which means no matter what anyone says youre not going to generate any meaningful discussion.

Japanese fans are very excited when western rock bands go there to play. ( how manny live albums over the years have been recorded at Budokan?)  They are more loyal fans than we are. They will definitely sell out.

Hopefully Sell-Out... Negative press, because of empty seats, that's not what GnR needs...

Rainbow Hal is 'bout 10000 people capacity as far as i know when it comes to sporting events , don't know how much floor space there is but definetly a few ..., the other venues are the sama character, all big7small enough for gnr to fill, as said before japan is good to gnr.

They've always have had a  strong showing in Japan, so I'd imagine so.

You're probably thinking of Kobe, which was rebuilt on more of a grid system after being destroyed in a quake a little over a decade ago.

Actually Kobe would have been a good place for the band to play since it has a large western population compared to most of Japan, but then again it's a short ride on the rails from there to Osaka. And the Rapid in Kansai (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, etc) is cheap and fast.

There is no way this show WOULDN'T sell out.  I remember when Buckethead played a show at a pretty big outdoor venue, and it was filled up to the max.  Japanese people will go more nuts for Axl then the Brazilians.  The Japanese shows might be some of the most memorable in new GN'R's history.

Yes they will. They haven't played there in a long time, so the fans are more than happy they are playing there.

Im pretty sure no matter how you look at it thse shoes there will get attention and be very well attended!

Yes these Japan shows will sell out.   If they could sell out the toyko dome for 3 nights back in teh day, they can do it now in these venues..
