Saturday, March 31 on Maximum Threshold - live with Domonic Rini. Interview airs at 7:30p EST, audio streams from the site, & should re-air via mp3 afterwards. Wednesday night, April 4 on WFNP, The Edge of SUNY New Paltz. Bumblefoot will be featured on DJ DJ's Two Hour Metal Hour at 1am EST. Audio streams from WFNP's home page (or 88.7 FM if you're in the New Paltz area). Flew out Saturday night only to find Bumblefoots wife in the seat behind me. G&R was rehearing in LA for a Japanese tour and she was flying out to see him. We landed and Bumble was nice enough to offer a lift to my hotel. He said the record is close to coming out soon.... ....Then Bumblefoot called from G&R rehearsal and invited me to come see the band rehearse. So Gilby drove me to the G&R rehersal studio where I met all the guys in the band and listened to them play their set. I have not really heard this lineup of the band and they did sound great. New drummer Frank kicks ass (and he lives in NJ) and all 3 guitarists played so well together. What really sounded great were the many new songs they played. It feels like this album may finally come out soon. All the guys were super cool and it was great to meet them and talk music. Thanks to Bumble for the invite and the ride back to my hotel after. I thought it went very well. Ron is always exciting and has great things to say when you don't expect it. I am happy everyone liked it. I tried to make it entertaining and informative.
What didn't you like about it or what do you think I can do to make future interviews better. Would you listen to the show more often knowing what type of format I have? They are touring places that they havent been in a while... so it will be a great show fo the people going to the concerts... BUT..if they come back to the states or Eu. with the same setlist..then thats a bit much. ?i've seen the same show now about 4 times going back to 01-01-01. ?i love its so easy, paradice city, NR ect.. but i would rather hear.. pretty tied up, estranged... move to the city.. just because i have never heard those before. ?
