Drafting? for new people is back to first come first served, but you can only draft one person upon their debut in the whole game and it will cost you 2 of your draft picks, remember you all start with 6 picks to use throught the game.

A new factor to consider now. If, after 28 days, the new boy hasn't been picked up he then is just the cost of one trade. Maybe you should wait?

Because of the lack of Extremists, the rule of having someone from each of the 3 brands is going to get harder to enforce, how about you have to have people from at least RAW/Smackdown, Extremists are not essential?

Yeah well i think it depends how many people join in the game, i like the rule in principle but hell, 1 more firing and Neemo would of been screwed, ECW is so bare it's damn hard to manage, and if we do keep the rule we need a punishment for failure to replace the Extremist if, we, did infact run out, say -50 Points saying that with Kelly Kelly, Taz(z), Joey Styles, Brooke & Layla there is ALWAYS going to be a replacement of sorts on the roster....... ;D

Personally I hate the ECW rule.

I think if u want to have  6 Raw guys that is your choice.

If u want to have 6 SD guys, that is your choice.

I dont think u should be regulated to have a guys from every brand.

Its your team, it should be your preference.

I think there should be some kind of combo thing, like 1 from 2 of the 3 brands. Like you could have 1 smack and 1 raw, or 1 raw and 1 ecw, etc etc... :smoking:

In simple terms your proposed rule = You can't have a team made up of one entire brand.

That seems fairer to me cos there aren't 13 or so guys worth having from ECW and that gives th guys who get like the 10th draft pick or so a BIG disadvantage

So EVERYBODY is in, the general consensus and i think a fair compromise is to go with your team cannot be made up of wrestlers from just one brand.  Seems simple, fair and easy to keep track of.  We have 13 in which means it's going to have to be 5 to a team again.  So with all the other rules withstanding, are people happy to start now and aim for 2 weeks on monday as a completion date, starting now adds the skill edge of also trying to guess what happens at 'Mania, like i said it's the SAME for everyone there are no definitive spoilers, hell WWE change their minds all the time and it's mainly up to your perception for example, HBK stood tall on RAW, general old school theory would say that's because Cena will win at 'Mania to therefore get his "Heat" back, in all feuds a balance is needed, but Vince can be a cock and job you out, Cena could get injured tomorrow, he could be dropping the title and getting his heat back at Backlash, who knows eh?

so when we starting the drafting then?

Each time Ive done great I've chosen near last, I had first pick two games ago and finished next to last.

So let's see what I can come up with from position 4.

Can we changer the draft order....have like everyone given a number then someone random chooses numbers to decide the draft order.......or go from the results of last game...and whoever finishes 1,2,3,etc picks last,2nd last,3rd last etc?

As for changing the draft order, it was done randomly, if you got a shit place it sucks but someone has to, i'm not exactly thrilled about being stuck in the middle....

Honestly Picking near the bottom is gonna help those this game due to WM.

Its gonna be hard choosing near the top cause we have no idea who is gonna do what at WM.

So people near the bottom may get a great chance at a steal.

Getting the 13th and 14th wrestlers is much better than getting the 4th and 23rd best wrestler.


the space between  4th and 13th is nowhere near as great as the divide between 14 and 23.

Theoreticlly having the fourth pick should give you one stud, and a perhaps a mediocre pick on your 23. Where 13 and 14 gets me most likely two mediocre picks. and than not another pick for like 24 wrestlers. So I gotta choose my two very carefully. Middle of the pack seems would be the best. But i'll take what i can get.  :smoking:

Stoned last game had the 4th pick, He got Batista and Shad

I had the 10th and 19th and got Chris Benoit and Carlito


So really u can come away with some great picks anywhere in the draft as long as u draft smart.

Also the 4th pick is extremely difficult.

Orton? EDGE? Kennedy? Undertaker, HBK, Batista possibly if he someone thinks he is losing? Jeff Hardy.........

Look at last game that dude that quit took CM punk number 2 overall. That is HORRIBLE drafting.

I agree it makes it very interesting.

There are also other issues like the Tag team division. Will that be revamped after mania. Also brand swaps could be interesting.

Also its importants to pick people who aren't likely to be thrown out due to drugs

I'm happy i'm second and would prefer that to right in the middle. But i think in this game picking last is a great position. But i still think 3rd and 4th are the best places to be or even 5th coz lets be honest there are probally 5 guys who are gonna be good picks but its the others that will win you the game

No doubt a good first pick will keep u in the game but its the ENTIRE team that matters most.

Timothy got john Cena and yeah he is in the upper bracket, but first pick doesnt guarantee anything. I had first pick 2 games ago and finished next to last.

So first pick really guarantees nothing at all.

Edit: I do think though, at some point an expansion of sorts need to happen.  If you think back to game one we had SEVEN people, now, we have FOURTEEN in Game V, we managed to double things, and hell, we have lost some people along the way who i am sure would be happy to come back if we expanded and with Chinese Democracy right around the corner this board is growing all the time.  I myself have been against the TNA inclusion, i know a number of us don't really watch it and with the booking of it i think the promotion is really unstable and as mentioned before IMPACT! is taped 2 or sometimes 3 weeks at a time so spoilers are way to readily available.  I was talking to Evolution about this last night and he had a really good idea, at first i did not take to it, but, when i got my head round it i thought it was pretty damn cool.  He mentioned seperate brands, or, well leagues so to speak.  Put simply the players would be split and would all draft from the same roster, so, you could look at it this way.  League 1 (The Premier League) would be the current people involved, now if we for instance signed up 7 more people we would have 20, if this was the case you could have 2 leagues of 10.  Now League 1 would compromise the Top 10 from this game, the bottom 3 would join the 7 new competitors to form League 2.  Obviously, in theory league 2 would be inferior and easier to win as it would contain the less experienced players although newbies to the board with vast wrestling knowledge could win it quite easily.  now each game or season at the end 2 would be relegated and 2 would be promoted.  This also gives room for expansions all the time, the more who join the more leagues we have and so on, it's just an idea to cope with the increasing numbers....

Kennedy has had his title shots. Randy Orton is considered one of the BIG stars on the roster, kennedy isn't considered drawing wise on Orton's level. Plus Kennedy had shit loads of title shots just a few PPV's ago.

Orton's time is now and the way he was added to the MITB match all but guarantees he will win it cause it will then transition into a Orton vs Edge feud.

What if the person who wins in League 2 scores higher than the person who wins in League 1 though?


Also I didn't pick Shawn with the world title in mind. He scored 241pts last game and if u recall some of that he was in DX and wasnt wrestling all the time but he still managed to pull the 3rd highest score without a title which means he was actually the most active WRESTLER.

I think edge and orton will fuck each other over @ mania thus causing the feud and as aresult niether one will win the money in the bank match

i picked hardy for the same reasons as you picked michaels...whether or not they win their matches @ WM they will still be regulars

I forgot about Shawn's knee but that could've been a ploy by Shawn to get a new lucrative contract.

It means nothing though because the point is League 2 is meant to hold the lesser people so say in League 2...it went

Whereas in League 1...

#2 Person Picks: Lashley

And so on, the point is being in the top league you will have smarter wrestling minds or put simply people who watch it more, people who spot Melina quickly, if you were in League 2 you'd have time to snap her up in League 1 someone might pounce sooner, in theory the League 2 person could be new to the game but a long time wrestling fan and win quite easily because their opponents are to good, so it would not really mighter if they scored more points.  So in theory after a few games and relegations the balance would be set between good and bad players, in theory, downside is if we decided to do this there is no going back, when you have 20+ people you can't say shit this hasn't worked fuck off we've changed our minds and want to go back to 12 players...

The Tag Title that he has got him win points and retain points they won them from RKO, defending them against them and also defended them in the Tag Gauntlet to.? That was a big scorer....it's a belt....they all mean the same in this game :yes:

Forgot about the tag belts but he still wrestles every week mostly and has a great shot to win the title, Cena has had it forever.

Basically you have 20 people split into two games of 10.  both games draft from the full roster so it's back to 6 a team, one is League 1 one is League 2.  League 1 Compromises the Top half of this game, League 2 Compromises the bottom few and newbies.  Since League 2 has the lesser players they won't make picks that are as good therefore it would in theory be easier to win, we would have promotion and relegation at the end of each game.

I've told you before you can't have a 2 person game with Jim :P

I don't like the two league idea.

Maybe if too many people flood the forums they can compete for the spot Evo left vacant or something.

This is gonna sound self serving but I dont care, I think if u have won a title, u should automatically stay in the top game regardless of how u do in the next one.  Maybe if u have two bad leagues in a row u drop down.

But the 2nd league is gonna be like OVW or some shit.  How many former world champs get sent down to the minors?

Say next league I finish 10th or something.

Do I, someone who has won 2 titles and coming off a title deserve to go to the shit league instead of someone who has never won but finishes 6th, 7th or 8th every game?

I think doing something like winning a title should grant u automatic entry everytime.

So Stoned,Evo,Malcolm and myself would get seeds in the top league no matter what.

If someone new wins this game, they earn the automatic entry. thats my opinion on this.

Unless you get loads of people then one league is better. I mean i hardly watch wrestling anymore and because i live in the Uk can never get a debuting wrestler unless i stay up to 4am. But thats half the fun. Its great when you beat people like D, Evo or Stoned.

Also mini leagues develop anyway. like me, Jim and Neemo in the last game. My target after it was clear i was gonna be well away from the top, was to try and beat them.

If you got 8 newbies then put them in a league of their own or something but the game is such that anyone can beat anyone.

Still think if your looking to change the rules then the Debut drafting should be looked at

I've been reviewing our wrestling games and the one area that seems to still need some fixing is the picking up of debuts.

with this many people our current system really isnt fair cause if a big time superstar debuts, U essentially get a first or second round pick for nothing thus getting a huge advantage.

I remember when Jim talked of not getting online or watching wrestling live therefore being at a huge disadvantage and I agree.


I think next game we should do this:

A wrestler debuts and everyone bids on the wrestler. We use the Official WWE Fantasy game to rank wrestlers and we value each of our  6 trades as a certain amount of money.

For instance each trade is worth 500,000 dollars.

So if a wrestler debuts, everyone bids on what they will give up to get that wrestler.

For instance say Goldberg came back. He would immediately be a main event caliber talent. Kind of unfair for someone to be able to drop Maria for a huge points getter like that.

So I may say, I'll give up RVD and 4 trades for Goldberg. If no one else was able to match my total pts package, Id get Goldberg.

If that was accepted, RVD would go into a Free Agent Pool and people would then Bid on RVD the same way.


I don't know if that even makes sense to most of u just something I thought of when I was bored at work.

I scanned through the teams, i don't even think any debutants were picked up, at least none that made any difference.

I don't mind the fact that people can jump in there and pick people up because often they can land flat on their face, who says The Major Brothers are even returning next week?  Doesn't the person who picked Vladimir Kozlov last time feel really dump?  The Highlanders hardly got Evolution his tag gold, Cryme Tyme bombed.  When i got Lashley in the 1st game it made no difference his career did not get going 'til the second....

Maybe I should drop Undertaker before next week's Smackdown. Knowing my luck, he'd probably retain....

You cannot drop you No.1 or 2 Draft picks, unless, they are injured, fired, suspended, vanish off tv for 3 weeks or more.

Now since he is wrestling a match he doesn't yet count as "injured" ;)

I'm not too keen either.

I think the debuting wrestler should go on offer to whoever is bottom at the time. If they reject then it moves up. Still 1 debut per game mind you.

I think it would give people who are miles behind a chance to catch up.

Otherwise i think the luck of the draw whoever is first to draft gets first choice on the debuting star

For instance with Santino. He is the IC champ and someone essentially got an IC champ for nothing.


The way my idea works is, he would've been a FA, everyone listed what they were willing to give up for him.

So giving up Greg Helms and  2 trades would be better than giving up Viscera and 2 trades cause u look at the dollar value per wrestler on WWE.com.

to me that way stops any disagreements. If two guys are giving up the same amount it would be a standstill and the guy wouldnt debut until one of the guys went a little farther.

Or rewarded for bad luck. The chances of it making someone win are next to none but its better than having someone like 200 points from the top and basically waiting for the next game.

D is right tho. Its totally unfair coz personally i cant stay up to watch wrestling at 2am on a monday night and therefore will never get a debuting wrestler.

The only hitch is say someone has HBK and he gets injured and is out for the length of the game people will bid him and he'll be worth alot. So in some ways this system favours the unlucky too

WWE announced last week the discontinuation of it's WWE Fantasy league on WWE.com. The league may have become more trouble than it was worth, as there were often scoring discrepancies because of errors in the point tallies and delays between TV tapings and the airing of shows.

Well that blows that idea out of the water and also means after a long war our game triumphs :hihi:

WWE Game VII: Here Comes The Money

Now bear with me here.

Firstly you can draft as many new guys as you can afford.

Rather than 6 trades everyone has $120,000.? In theory that is essentially the same though because every regular trade costs you $20,000.? So for instance you drop William Regal for Rory McAllister it costs you $20,000 (1 Trade).

So when somebody new debuts you have a bidding war with your trades/money.? I personally hate the idea of offering up wrestlers you get the whole swapping scenario and people getting pissy and it could go on for ever.? Obviously the most you can bid assuming you haven't used any trades is $120,000.? Now if a Goldberg debuted i am sure at least two people would bid the full amount (Use ALL their trades), so, in that unlikely scenario you would then bid points as well.? As i said though it's a unlikely scenario so that would not happen often.? Now tactics can come in say someone has 4 trades left ($80,000) someone could outbid them with $81,000 and still have $39,000 left.? Now since a trade costs $20,000 that would only cover one trade but it would leave plenty of money for a future bidding war on another newbie.....

....i think the drafting gives the game that random element it needs, to much structure is a bad thing, random surprises work, hell nobody knows what tag partner they are going to get apart from the winners and you never know where you will be in the draft, unless i'm mistaken you've been first twice right?

and I only have 3 trades worth 60,000 I could t hrow in 60 points which would then count as 60,000 dollars and be even.

Now it's more than possible that they may not appear on it again or tv for months, but since they got wins and to avoid complaints if they do turn up on RAW, they are being put up as debutants with the usual 28 days before their debutancy expires and they become regular trades, now it's up to you lot, remember though, picking either one up is a BIG gamble.

My team looks strong but this game seems to have come too early for Burke and Cor Von coz they dont get many points despite being involved in alot of the top angles.

Burke is going to put Punk over and it looks like Snitsky has the nod over Cor Von for Lashleys next opponent so i think they might get lost in the mix.

I think the "brand" rule only matters while we are drafting. If it ends up all your wrestlers are on RAW i think that will be ok.

If The Rock moved to Smackdown?  Hell if he showed up on WWE tv again i would say fuck the rule and throw a party it's hardly likely.  And yes you have to maintain 2 brands at ALL times.  If the person has no trades left then it's not an issue, we have no punishment but as long as you have trades you will be forced to drop someone, so if you want to use up all your trades to dodge the rule, go for it :P
