Title: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: redx on March 24, 2007, 02:35:45 PM Is the plan to have the album mixed before the band tour?
Or Will the band tour and recieve updates of the mixing process as they tour. They could be supplied with completed mixes, so they can give their opinion, and say yes or no :peace: I'd have thought, after all these years, the band would rather hear the finished mixes in the studio itself. Or Is it the band has no intention of having the album fully mixed anytime soon, and simply wants to tour and string things out longer. Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: Verasa on March 24, 2007, 02:57:50 PM Well, from a business sense I guess it would be smart to play as many shows and make as much money as possible before you release the album ... then make as much money and tour as long as you can once CD is released

Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: GNRforever10 on March 24, 2007, 03:30:21 PM My opinion is that they will tour Japan, South Africa and South America and have evryone guessing, then boom! The album drops, before they come here to America!

Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: Regibold on March 24, 2007, 04:00:41 PM SIGHHHHHHH.............................to remain positive is good, to go overboard and think TOO much about it, draw conclusions is not. If it comes out, it'll be great to finally have it, if not, then we can always say that at least he's recorded and performed since 1993. ::)
Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: Perfect Criminal on March 24, 2007, 04:16:49 PM I still have no idea why everyone thinks the album is being mixed right now. I don't remember seeing it on gunsnroses.com. Did I miss an announcement or are you all going on the words of the band members? because if you are going on the words of Dizzy Reed or something, you should all know better. I've heard the album is being mixed every year since 2001 and none of that was true.
On the positive front, Operation Cash Grab 3 is almost here. ::) Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: 25 on March 24, 2007, 04:20:10 PM I don't think there's any way that anyone who just spent years of their life writing and recording an album is going to allow it to be mixed in their absence, like it's an unimportant step. I would think that if the mixing isn't done before the tour starts they'll either leave it until a gap in their schedule or mix on off-days during the tour.

Yeah, ummm. try about 56,000 per year for the last 7 years Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: faldor on March 24, 2007, 05:38:41 PM Well, from a business sense I guess it would be smart to play as many shows and make as much money as possible before you release the album ... then make as much money and tour as long as you can once CD is released Yeah, unfortunately for us, bands make a LOT more money off of touring than album sales. So no matter how good the band thinks the album is, or how badly they want to get it out to the public, they'd be fools to deny themselves the riches of touring.Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: Axls Rosed on March 24, 2007, 05:49:47 PM Is the plan to have the album mixed before the band tour? Common Sense says it's a complete waist of time asking these questions since all that we can do is speculate about this and pretty much everything else. Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: DethRose on March 24, 2007, 06:43:43 PM I think they will tour...then around october will make an announcement saying the album will be out before the end of the year, then at the end of the year they will announce a tentative release date of may 5th, and then on may 5th they will say CD has been handed over for mixing, and announce another world tour lol.

Tickets were already sluggish, so people aren't going to be willing to hash out a bunch of cash to see the band with nothing new to offer. Therefore, the mixing stage should be done and the band should be packaging and what not to get in stores/
Title: Re: The mixing of Chinese Democracy Post by: GNR4L on March 24, 2007, 07:57:07 PM I think VH1 Classic should hurry up and put out a episode for Greatest Albums Guns n Roses Chinese Democracy its a rare breed.? That's when the album comes out soon.

Never tickets will go good there and in South America G'n'R are gods to them down there. Another tour without CHINESE DEMOCRACY is honorable in the sence that ticket sales are good. 200? is the year(s) :-\ If ticket sales suck ass then they'll have no choice to release CHINESE DEMOCRACY or fade away again. I hope Axl makes the right decision :) |
