Here Today... Gone To Hell!

   I know people are sick of these posts, but I have sit here for 6 months just reading all the b.s. negativity and not said a word about it. So I'm responding because I want to. Throw the post out if you want.  You know, I try and stay out of these petty arguments about Chinese Democracy and why it hasn't come out yet, but even I, having only been a board member for 4-5 months am getting sick of all the negativity. I've never seen Guns n' Roses in concert, I haven't been a fan for 10-15 years,  I'm going to be patient. I'm still going to support the band. I'm going to go see them when they tour the U.S. and hopefully not cancel my show again. I'm going to have the best time of my life.  And not having Chinese Democracy isn't going to change a damn thing. It should be the same for all of you people bitching about it.  You should be feel lucky that a band like Guns n Roses is even still around, besides the fact that we've heard new music. So shut up and enjoy the ride.  I know, you're thinking I'm just another one of those "ass kisses", but honestly, I'm just here to support my favorite band. They're your favorite band, you're in this forum, so obviously you care.  Everyone needs to relax.  :smoking: You will be rewarded in the end, at least I hope so.

I agree 100%, they should shut up with the negativity and be happy that the record is actually coming and that Guns N' Roses is once again out there and kicking ass! :smoking:

I thought you were for different opinions. GN'R kicking ass is good, if they visit my part of the world, but the fact that they're now calling it GN'R tour instead of CD tour doesn't seem promising to me.

Yeah, you would think that since this is the closest we have ever come to having an actual release, everyone would be happy as shit.  But alas, alot of bitching.   Dont get me wrong, I can understand some frustration having built up over the years, but most of it is just complete negativity.  Most of us have been waiting a long time (I myself have been a fan since I was 12 years old, way back in 94) and hell I've been coming on here and lurking for ten years.  I am totally psyched over all the new stuff that is going on.  Of course I could bitch about the wait if I really wanted to, but why?  The good totally outweighs the bad when it comes to GnR, especially now.  It just goes to show you that alot of people now adays want INSTANT gratification.

You telling me people that have waited for 5-10 years are guilty of wanting instant gratification? You gotta be kidding me.

We've waited and some will continue to wait, there's not much more to do, is it? That being said, there's nothing wrong with a realistic view on things. I don't really care about the new tour since it will be going on far from my wallets capabilities. If they come to Europe that's great, but I'm tired of hearing 'things are ready to roll and soon is the word' when nothing seems to indicate that it is. Let me ask you this, does GN'R seem like a band that's releasing an album soon?

alot of people no longer believe the album is coming out. you go through emotional tides with this process and i suppose those who can longer believe it is coming out should just take a break from it as axl suggested. i did so from 03 to 06 and i suppose i'm about ready to go back under and join the jack white fan club or something.

I agree, it was a good post, it does put things in perspective.  However, if he would have been chomping at the bit for this cd as long as everybody else in here, he may feel a little differently.  13 years is a very long time....

GN'R has Finished Recording.  This is good.

GN'R is doing another Tour.  This is also very good.

This is 2007, not 2003 - Amazingly Good.

Can't wait for some bootlegs!

no offical photo showing all the band together..
But that will come given time. So it's all Good  : ok:

The key point that you mentioned was that you have only been here from 4-5 months.? That's the problem.? A lot of us have been here much longer than that and expected this thing a long while ago.? Just understand that for the people that have been expecting this cd, it gets a little frustrating.? Never in my life have I seen a man or band, take so long in putting out an album.

So just as your tired of hearing negativity from people on this board, I'm tired of hearing these posts from newbies. 

You need to adjust to the new positive way..

'expected this thing a long while ago' = Don't expect. You'll have it, when its ready  : ok:

'it gets a little frustrating' = Calm down, relax, find something else to do. CD will arrive some day  : ok:

i'm tired of the same excuses :hihi: its understandable to be frustrated over the long wait...as i'm sure its frustrating for the peopel who constantly have faith in Axl to read the complaints

thing is we're all fans of GnR, some peopel jsut handle the wait differently...notice though how MOST of the older members are the ones getting sick of the wait, while the new members are the ones who cant understand the frustration

i have been a fan since i can rember listening to music i was born in 87 listened to GNR ever since and i love them but how can they treat there fans like this.

You know what the funny thing is - If they announced this Japan thing AND updated us on the progress of the album, I feel there would not be as much negativity running around right now.

The only reason people say this is because Axl said it.  Be original!

And by the way, I am living my life.  I come here about 3 times a week now to check for any updates.  It takes a total of about 15-20 minutes out of my week. 

So don't feed me your bullshit about "living my life".  Get out of Axl's ass and come up with your own advice.

read  a book
write a  book
donate  time  to a charitable cause
take an invalid to a movie
become a big brother  or big  sister
donate  time  and effort  to meals  on wheels
pick up trash in your neighborhood
donate  time  to a  local  school
sponsor an inner ciy child  for school
visit  an elderly center  and spend time with the inpatients
care  for an  elderly sick  person in his/her home
volunteer  to help buidling housing for the needy
donate books and time to your local library

Enough ideas to make your life  better?
